The Juniperlea Inn

Warm welcome from Carly. She is the hostess with the mostest aa she has a very keen eye for detail as well as being helpful and friendly. Loved the continental breakfast - a fridge in room keeps chill stuff fresh. It means you can breakfast as early or as late aa you want. The pub garden has picnic tables so you can take your breakfast out on a tray if you so wish. Garden is enclosed so provides a great space for playtime with dogs We can also recommend eating in - we had brunch at the weekend and a couple of evening meals. Delicious and imaginative

Only the fact the building of the function room and 3 additional guestrooms means we didna' see Carly's vision completed... ....but that just means we have to return for another visit

This was a great little find. The host was welcoming and explained everything on arrival. The room was clean and comfy. We were visiting family in Edinburgh so just needed somewhere to stay for the night and we couldn't fault this place! With the window closed we didn't really notice noise from the road at all and slept well. Everything was lovely and clean and we would highly recommend a stay here! We took our 2 dogs (small spaniels) as this is pet friendly. For those worried, the rooms were amazing and there was absolutely no sign at all that animals had been in the room. They obviously have great attentive cleaning staff! There is a nice lane behind the hotel too to walk the dogs down.

It didn't bother us, but for some it may be a little out of the way. It's on the main road into Edinburgh and not far to travel, but better if you have a car. It doesn't seem to be walking distance to anywhere.

Room size , allowed dogs , food was good

No outside area to take the dog for the toilet. Room was suitable for people with disabilities which was fine but the toilet pan was to high for short people ( needs a foot stool ) Road noise .
