This worked very well for us as a one-night stay between dropping off our rental car and taking the boat to Tortuguero. The hosts were exceptionally helpful in sending us a taxi in the morning to get us to the boat dock. They contacted me immediately when I left something behind. They brought our requested breakfasts right on time even though we were a little late to submit our request. We were lucky that even though the living area and kitchen are meant to be shared, we had the place to ourselves. (The bedroom and bathroom are the only designated private areas.) Also there was a washing machine and lines to hang your items to dry, which was very handy since it was raining a lot when we were there. The Moín Pier is a great way to get to Tortuguero; you really get to see a lot from the 3 hour boat ride. We returned to the Pavona pier and that was not nearly as interesting,

Getting in is a little tricky as there are three separate codes, but it is very secure once you’re inside. Make sure you have your instructions handy. ;) There weren’t any nearby restaurants that were open; however since we had the kitchen we made a simple meal after visiting the Pali store down the street.

Good location; easy to catch Uber/taxi. Shared apt had all the amenities needed. Hosts were very friendly & attentive.

Room was a bit small. Initial scent in bathroom- it needed to air out for a while when I initially entered it; sewer smell.

Didn’t feel safe in this location. The whole apartment didn’t have windows. Biggest issue was that there were cockroaches in the kitchen!!
