No A/C and smelly bedroom

There was no A/C in the appartment and it was not obvious from the description. There was also a smell of old cloths in the bedroom. This made our stay impossible during Summer time, so we abandoned the appartment after the first night. We have asked the owner for a partial credit but she refused.

Best guesthouse in Lucca

We had amazing time staying at Casa San Marco. +++ The room is big and spacious, very clean and very comfortable. Bed and pillows are great. Bathroom is big and very clean. +++ Location is fantastic - 10 min by foot to reach the old town and enough free parking spots on the public parking nearby. +++ Our hosts were amazing! Always extremely helpful and easy to reach. We met only Etsuko, she was super kind and we felt as if we were visiting friends! When we arrived our car had a problem and Etsuko took her time to help us find a repair shop (as we don't speak Italian) so we could fix the car for the time staying in Lucca. Without her help it would have been much more complicated - thank you again :) We recommend everyone who plans to visit Lucca to stay at Casa San Marco!

An absolute must when in Lucca!

I don't know where to even begin about this stay and the friendly angel that is Etsuko! The neighberhood is very safe and across a school, very close to the city centre. My welcome was very nice and i was explained everything. I even got a bike for two days! Eventhough i stayed only one night. The room is clean & tidy. Everything you need and more. If you're in Lucca, you absolutely have to stay at Casa San Marco!

That i couldnt stay longer! Defintely book a minimum stay of 2 nights.

The location was a bit away from the train station and the buses stopped going at 20.00, but you had access to bikes which was a plus.

Super friendly and helpful host who couldn't do more to help us settle in and feel at home. Comfy and spacious room with some good amenities like a fridge, table and chairs, come pots, pans, plates and cups.

Can be a little noisy on occasion but nothing that affected our stay in any way.

Abbiamo soggiornato al B&B San Marco di Lucca e l’esperienza è stata davvero eccellente. Fin dal primo momento si percepisce la cura e l’attenzione dei proprietari, sempre disponibili e gentili nel fornire informazioni utili sulla città e nel far sentire gli ospiti come a casa. La struttura è accogliente, pulitissima e molto ben tenuta. Le camere sono spaziose, luminose e arredate con gusto, con tutti i comfort necessari per trascorrere un soggiorno piacevole e rilassante. Anche i bagni sono moderni e impeccabili nella pulizia. La posizione è un grande punto di forza: si trova a pochi minuti dal centro storico di Lucca, facilmente raggiungibile a piedi o in bicicletta, ma in una zona tranquilla, perfetta per riposare lontano dal traffico. Nei dintorni ci sono parcheggi comodi e diversi servizi utili. Apprezzabile anche l’atmosfera familiare e rilassata che si respira all’interno del B&B: tutto è curato con gusto e attenzione, dal profumo delle stanze ai dettagli dell’arredamento. In sintesi, il B&B San Marco è una scelta ideale per chi desidera visitare Lucca e vivere un soggiorno sereno e confortevole. Lo consiglio assolutamente sia per brevi weekend che per permanenze più lunghe: un vero punto di riferimento per chi cerca qualità, pulizia e ospitalità autentica.

I proprietari sono stati molto cortesi e disponibili con noi poiché abbiamo chiesto se fosse possibile fare un cambio da una stanza ad un appartamento e in pochi minuti ci hanno preparato il letto. L’appartamento era pulito e aveva tutto il necessario. Da tenere in considerazione per il futuro.

Claudia war extrem freundlich und wir bedanken uns nochmals bei ihr für den Service. Parkplatz vor dem Gebäude (öffentlich) war aber immer was frei, kein Problem. In 15 Minuten laufen war man in der Altstadt von Lucca. Es hätte nicht besser sein können.

très bel appartement bien équipé dans une position tranquille à proximité des murs de Lucca. Parking facile et gratuit en bas de l'immeuble. Le propriétaire très gentil et disponible.

Soggiorno piacevolissimo, al punto da desiderare di tornarci appena possibile

Posizione ottima, a pochissima distanza dalle mura della città. Quartiere residenziale molto silenzioso. Facilità di parcheggio, anche vicino all'ingresso. I proprietari sono gentilissimi, molto disponibili e accoglienti. Biciclette a disposizione. Appartamento spaziosissimo e molto attrezzato. Da ritornarci senza dubbio.

A parte i materassi, forse l'aggiunta di qualche stoviglia in più in cucina non guasterebbe. Non è assolutamente indispensabile, ma probabilmente una lavastoviglie, anche piccola, potrebbe aiutare. Il resto è perfetto.

Tutto perfetto. Tutto ordinato, pulizia ottima con ogni tipo di servizio all’interno dell abitazione. Il proprietario è stato molto carino nell’accoglierci. Nonostante la vicinanza al centro ci siamo comunque spostati con la macchina per il troppo caldo. Ma comunque sia a piedi le mura si raggiungono bene.

Nous avons adoré séjourné dans l’établissement. L’accueil a été fait en personne et était très sympathique. Le logement est grand, propre, bien équipé et décoré. La douche et la literie sont confortables ++++. L’emplacement est parfait. Nous recommandons fortement cet établissement!!

Gentilezza oltre ogni aspettativa.

L'accoglienza e l'estrema cordialità dei gestori è ciò che più di tutto ci ha conquistato. Casa San Marco gode di una buona posizione, tranquilla e facilmente raggiungibile da e per il centro di Lucca, ma può essere un buon punto anche per raggiungere altre mete come Pisa o Firenze. Le stanze sono semplici e accoglienti, dotate di quanto serve per trascorrere un soggiorno confortevole e riposato.

Disponibilità e cortesia per un alloggio molto confortevole.

Host molto gentile e disponibile. Dato che eravamo in 8 abbiamo alloggiato nel monolocale, nell'appartamento e nella stanza tripla. Gli alloggi erano molto carini e confortevoli. L'appartamento in mansarda è veramente grande ed ha un bellissimo terrazzo. Ciascun alloggio è dotato di ogni confort. La pulizia ed i servizi ottimali.

L'assenza di zanzariere ha fatto entarre in stanza numerose zanzare, che ci hanno un po' tormentato. Non siamo riusciti ad attivare l'aria condizionata perchè sembrava in standby. Tuttavia dato che era tardi non abbiamo contattato l'host, il quale sicuramente si sarebbe attivato prontamente per risolvere il problema. L'alloggio dista dalle mura della città circa 15 minuti a piedi.

Würde ich sofort wieder buchen

Die Lage ist optimal. man kann zu Fuss in die Innenstadt laufen und trotzdem ist es Nachts ausgesprochen ruhig. Das Appartment ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet - neutral aber sehr wohnlich. Bar für Frühstück ist um die Ecke. Parken war auch kein Problem. Gutes WLAN

Der Kühlschrank war sehr laut, aber den kann man ja ausstecken :-)
