Townhouse N7 - Albufeira

Location was perfect, just of the main square and close to everything. Noise was not a big issue even considering the close proximity to all the bars. Bed was very comfortable and shower was great. The entrance door was the main issue.

Finding the entrance was difficult only because I was not informed of the double red door, I had to ask the ice cream shop below. The double entrance door is ridicules, each door is about 1 foot wide, I am very slim and I still had to open both doors to get through, so a large or older person would has serious issues, as it opens onto an angled steep street, passers by would actually laugh at me trying to get out. Also loose plaster and paint on the wall inside entrance would crumble and fall on the ground every time I closed the door. Otherwise a lovely place.

Wifi didn’t work for our stay which was a big shame and quite an issue for international travellers. The owner tried to fix it but I think they should have ensured this was sorted prior to our arrival. The upstairs bedroom could be quite loud at night with all the parties on the street.

Great location, had everything that we needed, comfortable beds, lovely little roof terrace.

Front bedroom was noisy, but we expected that with it being so close to the old town square. Would have been helpful for the instructions to explain where the front door was, it was hard to find even with the pinpoint location provided.

Central as far as beach, restaurants and coffee shops. All mod cons supplied. Nice walk in shower in double bedroom. We really liked that everything was in walking distance. We really liked the terrace.

So noisy every night. We never expected it to be so loud from live music followed by techno music plus screeching from passers by. Air con leaking in upstairs bedroom drenched a pillow and corner of single bed. We communicated this but received polite replies but no action. Asked for late check out but cleaners weren’t informed. We got a phone call asking us to leave followed by an apology when we explained that we had been offered until 12. So poor communication between the various partners. All 3 of us used the downstairs shower as the upstairs one was tiny.
