Ariadni Apartments

The location was beautiful. Away from the big city crowds, with open spaces and views of the countryside, coastline and sea. Also, there is a city bus stop 40 feet from the property entrance. Only 2.08 euros to reach the center of Heraklion. The apartment was spacious and comfortable.

I have to give an all star rating, as the host has been helping us in every possible way. We were left stranded at the airport after a flight cancellation. The host was able to extend the opening time of the reception waiting for us, got the room prepared late at night and even provided a large bottle of fresh water. They also granted a late checkout to help with the delay of the new flight. Much appreciated.

The apartment was big enough and the wonderful patio invited to eat breakfast outside. The area around was clean, very green and had a free parking. The facilities inside the apartment were functional and mostly clean. The beach near the apartment is one of the cleanest and unbusy which I have seen in Kreta.

The kitchen was not so clean and a bit old-fashioned. The bed quite hard… Some furnitures should be replaced.

The apartments are large, very modern, beautifully furnished, and located in a garden complex set back from the road. They have a private balcony and the bathroom with a spacious, modern shower is excellent. Travel to and from the airport takes 10 minutes. Despite the proximity to the airport it is quiet and you can sleep very well. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. I was able to store my bike case there securely during my Crete trip. There is a bakery opposite that opens as early as 6 and offers coffee and treats. Several tavernas and mini-markets are within walking distance. The beach is also only a few minutes’ walk away. I’ll gladly come again.
