Hotel Minor

The hotel staff were very friendly. The young lady at the front desk offered a lot of assistance. Perhaps because my English was not good enough, we didn't have much communication. The hotel's location was quite good - it was right at the entrance of the Bukhara Old City. The breakfast provided was the most abundant I had during my stay in Uzbekistan these days.

There is still a faint smell of paint in the hotel room. It is necessary to enhance ventilation regularly. If you get tired while walking in the old Buhara city and want to return to the hotel to rest at noon, you will be disturbed by the construction sounds on the top floor terrace and have difficulty falling asleep. Also, the fabric covering the floor of the hotel room is actually a carpet, which I think is a bit of a nuisance. I have to move it away; otherwise, every time I move around in the hotel, I will trip over it. The toothpaste in the hotel is also difficult to open. Even though I read the instructions on opening the toothpaste, despite some flaws, in general, you can feel that the hotel staff are trying their best to make things as good as possible.

I’ve traveled the world and stayed at a lot of hotels and this is one of the top ones. The room was beautiful and just as advertised. The location is fantastic. But the cherry on top is the staff. JohnnyBaig and the entire team are so courteous and so helpful - I felt so safe and truly cared for. Even when I asked for a late checkout because of my train, they accepted it without any issues. Thank you again so much for all you did.

Excellent location behind the Registan with an amazing view from the terrace and breakfast room. Our room was in the new block and was comfortable and clean but view was of a small inner courtyard wall. Breakfast was good and it was easy to walk to all the main sights from the hotel.

It would be nice if the terrace had some shade during the day which would make it more user friendly.

Rooftop and location were quite nice, but there are many places nearby with similar views and amenities. We stayed in the brand new building of rooms.

Our room was new but had issues that were not appreciated. Our shower door seals were curled and water pooled all over the floor - dangerously slippery. The cabinet under the sink had water leaking out of it. When we opened the cabinet, we found a large plastic container that was placed there to collect the water condensation from the air conditioning and it had overflowed. We had to dump it a few times to keep it from making a mess. The shampoo, conditioner & body wash containers were completely empty. The next day, they were refilled, but not with conditioner. Without the key in the slot, none of our outlets would work and certainly not the air conditioning. Our kids’ room next door did not have these issues. We were also required to pay for both nights for both rooms in CASH in order the check in. The rate was quite high considering all of the issues.
