Hotel Regina del Mare

The location , the privacy and the peace , the staff , the food , the home made wine , the simplicity of the rooms, comfortable beds , good pillows , the thermal pool and sauna , the good quality sun beds, the upper sun deck in the late afternoon, the people we met, the vaporetto trip to sant Angelo, Beautiful warm breeze , sound of the sea lulling us to sleep at night - everything

Nothing we didn’t like about the property. One slight disadvantage about the location is that the sea wasn’t always clear water for swimming especially at the weekend when there were a lot of boats and yachts in the bay . It cleared up though by Tuesday pm. Nowhere can compare to Sardinia for clear water though and that’s where we have been for summer holidays before .

Really liked the view from my single bed! Was just as advertised! So close to the water!! Didn’t feel fancy just felt quite rural-like and I really like that feel. Had dinner - sea bass - was very nice and had good flavour. Breakfast - not a lot of options understandably but a good amount to truly still enjoy! Service - Being a black person going to a rural place can feel quite daunting as you don’t know how you’ll be treated but I didn’t feel like I was being judged or anything of such. Pinch of salt though, I’m also someone who doesn’t care much or heavily look into things so I could/may have missed something but I also poorly spoke some Italian so maybe that helped. Would 100% recommend and also go back here again.

Dinner time - I was the first or second person to sit down at around 19:35. Took about 15/20mins before my order was taken. Felt like a few others order before me that came after me but I didn’t care too much. I didn’t get my food… a singular sea bass until 20:41 - During the wait I had to remind myself that I am from the UK which is more fast paced and I think it was just the one server and one chef so I was pretty understanding and didn’t mind the wait too much. So as much as this is a dislike, I don’t mind it. Ants - I think it’s someway expected and wasn’t an issue for me but others may not like this. I sadly had chewing gum stuck to the bottom of my shoe so ants found their way. Wouldn’t like to know what it would be like if I had kept snacks in the room. The walk from beach where the bus dropped me off to the hotel is decent walk especially if you have lots of luggage. I only had a small suitcase and I’m quite physically active so it wasn’t an issue but I saw others who were older and less physically strong struggling a little. They do have someone what will happily help so do utilise this offer and tip if possible

Stunning views from every part of this hotel. Very relaxing beach with umbrellas right in front that are included in the stay. The food is very good. One of the most relaxing vacations ever.

Great view from the room and the dining area. The rooms were very clean and the staff made a great effort to help us out with any request.

There is no solution for the arrival or departure in bad weather from the hotel. Average breakfast, in the low season no regular dinner service as in a restaurant.
