Vy Khanh Guesthouse

It was in the middle of central HCM district 1. Basically a road away from the main ‘walking street’ but you couldn’t hear any of the noise coming from the area at all which was lovely.

It is small but for the amount you pay 100% worth it.

Location was great, easy walking distance to many District 1 areas, food, etc.

The room was small, but that is noted on the information. The bathroom was especially small, as the shower is in with the toilet, and at an taller than average western person, that was a bit of a squeeze. Note that the guesthouse gets literally locked down after 10:45pm - although a security person will let you in, it's difficult to get out.

The location is so accessible to all.

Only no lift but overall the location and room is quite impressive.

The price was good and the owner is very nice. And the WiFi works well

There were little ants in the room from day 1. They looked like the small non-biting ants so I just dealt with it because I didn’t think doing a room change would make a difference. Thought maybe all Vietnam hotels would have them but the hotel I moved to after this is another district, didnt have any issue with ants or pests of any kind. It was odd that not only did they not provide even a single water bottle to guests, but also when asked to refill bottle I bought myself, they didn’t have a l filtered water refill station either. Location is another thing. I personally didnt love the craziness of district 1 and would not recommend staying there if you don’t like to party. The food in that area is also not so good. There’s better more local food options in other districts.
