Unique, beautifully restored structure.

Exceptional place. In an old structure and restored/ built to a very high modern standard with good kitchen and equipment, lots of counter space and good fan oven. The ceilings are beautiful domed brick structures and there are massive stone columns supporting them. Good comfy bed. Very good choice of colour scheme. Spacious, good sofa and nice dining table. Lots of thought and effort has gone into this place.

Beautiful place in peaceful surroundings

Great quiet location but near Le Quesnoy. Beautiful surroundings and the home was stunning and comfortable. It had everything we needed for a lovely stay.

We had a slight problem finding it as google maps directed us to a nearby property. But easily rectified.

Super location around Valenciennes/Le Quesnoy

This is a working farm located among fields in a village - with all the associated perks like birdsong, cows walking outside the windows and wonderful sunsets that you can see whilst sitting in the courtyard. The village itself is truly French, with a main road, a fantastic boulangerie, a cheese producer (local Maroilles speciality) and a friterie. The hosts provide a lot of information about local food producers and sights to visit around the property. It is fully equipped for an autonomous stay, and comfortably fits a family of four with the double bed and a sofa bed in the main living area. The bathroom is great, as are the features such as the brickwork ceilings in all the living spaces.

Amazing little haven, would love to stay!

This place is just beautiful! I can't recommend it enough and would 100% book this place again. You will not be disappointed! Book it!!! The old building is done up very recently to a lovely apartment which I would love to live in permanently! It has a full sized kitchen, big bathroom, full bedroom and comfy fold out couch. View out the bathroom windows to the cows hehe. It's such a cool project the owners are doing, renovating their inherited family place. Made me and my parents want to pick up a skillsaw and a paintbrush and help with the next one, they're just so cool! The location was good for us wanting to visit a lot of the WW1 history, with links to NZ and British soldiers. The hosts were really great people and very helpful and interesting to chat with. The full time resident next door was also so lovely, helpful and gave my toddler some fresh eggs from the chickens she spent every morning watching and chatting to and feeding all our scraps to! :) much entertainment there for a 1.5 year old! Haha The place was perfectly clean and looked fresh and new. We would love to come back here again in the future.

Dad wanted wifi! Haha (in his defense he was checking the farm business back home in nz after each day without him!) but the hosts explained its hard to get good internet out there. Its a great excuse to unplug, but if you cant escape online duties, I can recommend picking up a lebara sim - they have great roaming and data deals. My danish sim had 5GB roaming on my €16 /month deal, and you can just use one for a month and cancel again when you leave. If you're already Europe based, you probably are already sorted. But there was good data reception out there anyway.

A small and cosy haven to be discovered

We needed a nice and quiet location on our way to the Waterloo battlefield coming from Paris. This small haven was perfect and well located to pay a visit to the nice little town of Le Quesnoy which I strongly advise to see. We went to the local restaurant "les forges" (wrongly located on Google Maps) in Louvignies and were not disappointed both by the staff and the food. The farm is located at the end of a small road and next time I shall go for walks around.

Some people might be distressed by the lack of Wifi but for us it was a nice way to disconnect as well.

Heerlijk ontspannen, rustige omgeving en geweldig om de koeien langs het raam te zien lopen.

Fijne, grote keuken, volledig ingericht huisje en de rustige omgeving.

Zou helemaal perfect zijn als er wifi zou zijn, dat is wat ons betreft het enige verbeterpunt.
