Falésia II - Nice Apartment - Vilamoura

We love the location. The outlook. Spacious apartment. Large balcony.

The difficult front door lock. Shortage of kitchen equipment ( soon rectified,once we informed HD properties) No instructions for appliances. The information on booking.com states the property has a lift,but there isn't. The pool needs some maintenance as there were lots of tiles missing and the sides of the pool were green all round the top of the water.( we did inform HD properties whilst we were there and understand that this is a condominium problem)

Very clean. The balcony is huge with chairs and sun bed, and a door to it from every room. The pool view is nice. The lady that checked us in was nice and helpful and came in and went over everything, but she never mentioned the tricky front door lock. We were almost locked outside for the night if it wasn’t for a lady who lived in the bottom floor that we knocked on her balcony door and she came out and opened it for us. Walkable to the Marina during the day light. Extra big bathroom in master bedroom. Plenty room for a family. Tip, download the Bolt App before you go, Bolt is usually cheaper and more available than Uber.

The lock to the front door of the building takes A LOT of getting used to. We complained and asked for help but weren’t there when someone came to show us the knack of opening it so we were sent a video showing us the knack of opening it. It doesn’t work properly and you could easily be locked outside late at night. It really needs to be changed. No place to leave your bag or go to the toilet after you check out, so if your flight is later and you want to stay by the pool for a while or walk to the Marina, you have to take all your suitcases with you. The twin beds in the 2nd room are very hard and uncomfortable even with the extra foam piece on top of them. The shutters are tricky. The walk to the Marina isn’t as easy as it looks on the map. It’s not a bright busy road and there is a lot of construction along the route we took so the foot paths are not that safe.
