I would have to say that this stay was better than last year's, it all came down to being assigned a different room, I liked the layout better, the bathroom had a view, the air-conditioning worked well and was silent, there was little noise from adjoining rooms (maybe no-one else was there?) and when I rang to organise check-in it went smoothly and we could arrive earlier, there was no confusion like last year. We self-catered for breakfast buying supplies from a local supermarket and storing in the mini-bar refrigerator. Outside guest rooms in the corridor was a communal buffet where you can make tea/coffee, there was also a fruit basket and packaged muffins for guests. I love the location of the hotel, the views looking over to the river from our room, easy access to the Camino path. Vila do Conde is a beautiful coastal town to visit, to wander the streets.
Nothing really, it's always nice if breakfast is included.

A very conveniently located hotel, ideal for the Camino. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was spacious and modern and the wifi was great.

The location is amazing, especially for Camino pilgrims. It was spotless and the room was great.
When we arrived there was no one there and no number to call. Luckily someone working at the restaurant let us in. At 3 am we were woken by loud music. In the morning making coffee in the hall is not ideal and also loud for other guests. Only breakfast was a packaged muffin. Worst part is that we never saw any staff and we got locked into our room (101) and no one could help. Finally after 30 min the door unlocked but a very frustrating experience.
