The only nice thing I can say is that it was clean

Where do I start? Firstly you won’t be staying at the nice old house. It’s locked and abandoned. You’ll be in a 70s motel units with three flood lights in every room. I’m not kidding. They installed industrial outside flood lights as room lights, as reading lights etc. it will be an instant migraine not to mention multiple lights outside that can’t be turned off so you’ll be sleeping in a brightly lit room. I’ll even include a picture. You’ll need to go to a completely different hotel to check in. There are no “do not disturb signs” so someone will just let themselves in at some point during the day. The phone to reception doesn’t work. Neither does the tv. You’ll be wiping with mall grade toilet paper and generally…good luck sleeping. They also lied. It’s graded 3 stars not 4

there was no breakfast? - was nice new furniture and a recent paint job. th staff were helpful - after the fact - we got a room change and upgrade due to an issue

the room we booked was unsecure the door lack was not secure from outside - we raised this with staff and got a room change - minor issue getting hold of staff as the phone in the room would not connect to the reception - we noted that by the end of the weekend - monday morning the service company was fixing the door on the original room. there was no book of info in either room .. could have been helpful. and the outside lights could be on a sensor - or the curtains repositioned so it wasnt so bright in the room trying to sleep.

The toilet seat does not stay up until u sit on the toilet, the grounds were unkept there was not a step to get into the room you had to step up with a heavy bag I did not know on booking you had to go across the road to check in, I did not feel safe there

Immaculately clean! Had everything I needed for my three night stay. Perfect size for my stay. Had a table I worked from comfortably and the tv swung out, so I could watch it from bed. Everything worked - heat pump, internet, kettle etc.

The bed was very soft. I saw this comment when I read the reviews before booking. It was so soft I slept almost sideways across the bed to get comfortable. I could clearly hear the people in another room - they were not loud but if they had been, it would have been annoying. I was unwell and ended up recovering in the room instead of going to the course I was there for. It was perfect for me - close to chemists and Woolworths for supplies and nice temp and tv to chill.

Great for what we needed. No bells or whistles but clean

Room size good. kitchenette good. Air con! Staff were lovely tho not sure one guy believed us when we said we had no towels in room so came in to look. But quickly got up some so all good.

Beds not great. Bathroom just has curtain to contain shower so water goes everywhere. Toilet paper is hospital type dispensers so only get a square or two so pull slowly!

Stayed here while visiting sick relative at local hospital. Receptionist was very efficient and helpful expediting everything for me knowing I was in a rush when checking in. The shower was incredible and the sheets clean and crisp. Value for money.

When plugging in my phone I noticed it could have been vacuumed better behind the bedside cabinet but very minor. Otherwise everything seems super clean.

One night stay family of 4 adults 1 child

The two bedroom unit was modern, well stocked, with a large double and three singles which accommodated our family adequately. It was easy to find and there was a good amount of parking on site. Water was hot and pressure was good in the shower.

The booking process was confusing because we were asked to confirm the booking even though we had already prepaid and advised our arrival time. The wall lights in the bedroom are far too bright, could do with a dimmer switch or a more muted bedside lap. The sheet under the quilt had a life of its own (it was either too small or slippy) and annoyingly kept tangling up around our legs if we turned over. It was a bit on the pricey side compared to other places we stayed in the area.

Close to city and clean problem is noise from above rooms,floor seems paperthin, if people in above rooms are not sleeping then you are not sleeping,every bit of noise just seems to be magnified, walking around ,getting dressed, having a shower ,talking etc.i was in room 8 and prepaid for a week.the days when no guests were booked above me I had a great sleep,the others were a nightmare.

The motel was quiet and the beds were comfortable. It was close to the lake and to the court, so I could walk. Friendly staff. The heater was good and the bath was nice.

There was lino on the floor - no carpet anywhere, so it felt really cold in July/ August, even when the heater was on and it was actually warm in the room. There was no lamp by the bed so you had to get out of bed to turn the light off. It smelled a bit strong - might have been from recent painting. (July-Aug 2025).

I stayed two nights. First night in a two bed apartment. It was wonderfully clean and the beds were comfy. The next night, a studio apartment - same comments as above EXCEPT the heat pump made it wonderfully toasty!

First night, being winter - the heat pump only took the chill out of the air and I had to scrounge other duvets off spare beds. Maybe electric blankets would would be a good idea? or an extra blanket in the rooms.

Location was great and close to all amenities, especially Waikato hospital. The place was clean and comfy, but noise from other people staying was not good.

Other people next door to us were loud and talking outside quite late at night, then there was the noise within their unit, a lot of banging around in their room.

We had our own outdoor area. The bed was very comfortable, loved it, it was quite large as well. Very open plan, so seemed nice and spacious Beautiful older building that is being renovated.

The kitchen was a bit skinny and a little tricky to manoeuvre two people in there.

A lot of noise between units

Friendly helpful staff

Stayed in unit 9 and both mornings unit 10 started their day at 6am. This unit obviously has minimal sound proofing. Sounds like they are in your unit especially when the microwave starts . If I do stay there again I will request another unit.

The bed was a little firmer than we prefer. The curtains over the door made getting in and out a bit of a mission at night. Hard floors, rather than carpet and the couch was small and cold too.
