Decided to take the kids on a quick two day trip, to escape the hustle and bustle. Upon arrival, we noticed a foul smell emanating from somewhere downstairs. The smell was akin to a dead animal that had been rotting somewhere. We contacted Tahoe Rental Company, who sent out inspector #1, nice chap, identified there was a foul smell in the cabin, but couldn’t find the source of the stench. Tahoe Rental Company then send out inspector #2, same thing. Identified that there was in fact a disgusting smell in the cabin, but couldn’t locate the source. Inspector #2 left us with some air spray. That’s it, that’s all they could do for us. Leave us in the rotting animal cabin with a tiny bottle of air spray. We only had two nights there, so we had to suck it up and make the best of it. When we left I contacted Tahoe Rental Company who said they did all they could. All they could being - identify there was an awful smell in the cabin - not do anything - leave us with some air spray to mask the disgustingness of the smell of the cabin (and their service)Tahoe Rental Company told me they were not going to compensate me or my family at all, I ended up talking to a supervisor. Heather said she agreed with me that the situation was frustrating, and she herself would be very upset with the situation. Heather asked what else they could have done and I told her a nights compensation, or minimally move us to a different cabin. She said she would call me back, she never did.

Very warm and welcoming cabin. Plenty of room for all of us. We gathered around the central fireplace regularly. There is a nice easy trail that starts from the parking area of the cabin. Short walk to pier and the Lake. Short drive to everything you need. What more could you ask for. Hope to stay here again.

Easy walk to the private dock. Trail makes for easy 2 mile walk to Sunnyside and West Shore Market. House is clean and updated, plenty of room for adults and teens. On the pricy side but we loved everything about it.
