Villa Magtafa

Villa très agréable, spacieuse, joliment décorée dans la disposition est très pratique surtout en famille. Magnifique jardin et piscine bien chauffée (en option). Le complexe a tout ce qu’il faut.(SPA,tennis,terrain de boules ,jeux d’enfants.) Myriam, la gouvernante est aux petits soins que ce soit pour le petit déjeuner ou pour le dîner (tajines et couscous délicieux). Mona est très réactive pour le moindre soucis . La villa se trouve à 25 minutes de Marrakech ,loin de l’agitation de la ville . Nous avons loué une voiture chez adnan (très sérieux )par le biais de Mona.

We loved everything about our stay at this villa. The owner Mona is very prompt to answer emails and gives you all the information you need before arriving. We are a family of 6 Canadians comprised of 2 parents with 4 adult children in their twenties. We normally do a family vacation once a year in January as their schedules are pretty busy. We arrived at the villa after having done a 4-day excursion to Mergouza for a luxury Sahara Desert Trip. We were all very tired after the 10 hour drive. We arrived at the villa a little after 8 pm and they had prepared a wonderful self service dinner for us (Tagine, salads, bread, etc). The house manager Meriam is there everyday form 9 to 5 and she takes care of everything (cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc.). She is an absolute angel and definitely an asset to this property rental. Her meals were exquisite and so varied! She is discreet and very efficient. We barely know she's there but somehow gets everything done. Please tip her generously! The whole family just loved her! Breakfast is included in the rental price but other meals are an utter bargain at 18 euros/person/meal. I don't think I could make Meriam's meals at home for that price. The rooms and the villa in it's entirety are well appointed and cozy and all furniture is comfortable (which is not always the case with rentals). I am usually very picky about cleanliness and decor and this villa did not disappoint. It is spotless, oozes of moroccan charm and has all the modern amenities one needs for a luxurious stay. There is a driver available to take you to Marrakesh or other excursions (at an extra cost). We did not want to rent a car so we felt that having a driver was very convenient. Our children have unanimously said that this was their favorite vacation so far, and we concur. Do not hesitate to book this villa for your family. We felt safe and well taken care of. If I had to pick one thing that was a little inconvenient, it would be the payment method for extra amenities (meals, pool heating, driver to Marrakesh, etc.). The amounts were very reasonable, but you had to pay cash for all of these extras at the end of your stay. For a whole family that could amount to significant cash to have on hand, especially since there are no bank machines anywhere near the villa. Also be prepared to try 4-5 different bank machines in Marrakesh before you find one that has cash. We were told that the machines in Marrakesh often run out of cash on weekends. Luckily the owner allowed us to use paypal for part of the accrued incidental expenses.

Maison, jardin et piscine magnifiques. La gouvernante est très gentille.

La coupure d'électricité sur un jour, la coupure d'eau trois matin de suite et le ballon d'eau sur le toit qui lâche avec fracas au milieu de la nuit (et réveille tout le monde), la clim qui saute dans la foulée, trois fois aussi. La décontraction de la gestionnaire: "c'est la commune, organisez-vous en conséquence." Gestion un peu industrielle, nous avons été beaucoup mieux reçus dans d'autres villas à Marrakech. Dommage, Magtafa pourrait être paradisiaque, nous avons fait de notre mieux pour profiter de la beauté des lieux.
