I liked the outside area and we enjoyed the pool

when trying to walk around the house there was an irritating noise from the wooden floor

The apartments were very nice and clean. It was very close to the beach, although there was a lot of stairs to climb. The beach is very nice. The view was fantastic and the pool was good but not very big. There was a spa as well that was very nice. The staff was very helpful. We communicated via WhatsApp and it worked very well. We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. Clifton bay was very nice and beautiful. Supermarkets and restaurants was missing there though, so we went to Camps bay for that.

The location was excellent - this is really what you are paying for. The accommodation was fine, but it really isn't worth the premium price.

The instructions in the self check-in guide are not clear enough. For example, it mentions that the front door key is labelled when it is not so you have to go through each key to figure out which one is for the front door. This is annoying after a long drive and carrying lots of bags. The information about where to park is unclear, please make it clear that you can actually park in front of the garages. We received a parking fine since we parked on the street and facing the incorrect direction - we are foreigners so we don't know you have to park in the same direction of the other cars. It would be helpful to include this in the information. The property is full of rules, which gives an unpleasant feeling during the stay that you may do something wrong and feel constantly worried about this. The property listing pics are misleading - for the room we stayed in at least it seems like you can actually see the sea from the apartment, which isn't true. You have to climb up stairs to a viewing area to see the view. While there is a washing machine in the property, it is a combined washer/dryer which are always very bad and can only wash and dry a handful of items at the same time and doesn't work properly. We had to find a laundry service in the area to take care of our washing instead and obviously pay extra for this. Cleaning only happens on certain days (again, based on their specific rules) which again doesn't match with the price you are paying and the level of cleaning we experienced in other (cheaper) properties in Cape Town and SA.
