would be fabulous if the property was pet friendly. it wouldn’t take much to make it pet friendly.

Loved the beach front location of the house! Loved that it could fit my family and extended family to have a much needed post Covid family catch up! Loved the simplicity of the beach ‘Shack’ house, a few more comforts would have been nice... But the beds were comfy and the linen was fresh 👌

The house and furniture was more run down than I had realised, there wasn’t enough curtains on a few rooms to actually block out the sun, a few holes in the walls from the door knobs going though, a crack in the glass sliding door upstairs (lady at reception where I collected keys said these are known and being fixed - possibly let guests know that prior to) and the vacuum didn’t work. I also always like to think when a house sleeps 10 it can seat 10 as well, possibly a extra couch upstairs and a few more chairs at the table would be great. Also the tv down stairs didn’t have an antenna chord?.... a few odd things like that, but we adjusted well and enjoyed our time.

The location is excellent, just off the beach. The decor is nice. I thought the kitchen was well equipped though other reviews said it wasn't. The deck was a great place to have dinner. The front yard was great to play some footy/cricket.

This place desperately needs a dishwasher, 10 people staying for a holiday, you NEED a dishwasher. The cleaners do a VERY basic job. There was cockroach poo and spiders EVERYWHERE. Communication not great, I asked twice before we arrived about a toaster and kettle as I couldn't see them in the pics but got no answer. Yes there is a kettle and toaster. At one point I realised that I was leaving early and wouldn't be able to drop off the keys. I rang and left a message but no answer came. I was able to get my sister who lives in the area to drop off the keys. Also, the council bins had not been emptied when we arrived. We found out later that bin day was the day we arrived so we put them out when we left a week later. Kids looking forward to playing on the game machine but that did not work, hasn't worked for some time, reading another review, thought it might have been fixed by the time we arrived but no. I looked at the price it is for a week in January 2025 and was horrified, not worth over $11,000. The public can walk across the front yard of the house and it seems that when the house is empty people use the seats near the front door as there was rubbish when we got there. Not the owners fault but the rubbish had been there a while and there was a container of urine on the deck (what the ...), thus the comment on the cleaners. Also the doors to the bedroom with the single beds downstairs would not close.
