Les Sources de Cheverny

It’s a beautiful property with very nice feel. Rooms are comfortable, location good (if you have a car)

The service feels impersonal. With just 2 properties worldwide it already feels like a big chain. This is not a compliment. The bistro restaurant is a bit chaotic and way too busy and loud for this particular hotel level.

We liked everything, but the restaurant, Le Favori, and the reception staff were excellent. The options for activities were also great.

The spa didn't offer massages without other treatments.

For the -rice I expect access to sauna without having to pay extra.

- bed comfortable - pillows were nice to rest on - nice gym, basic equipment but I did a nice bicep workout - nice decor - the food tasted okay. but my partner and I came up with the meals. as for the first time ever a chef didn’t make lists of what he can do, he can’t come up with creative meals and well do vegan meals that have been around for decades. we did his job. he just cooked it. but we pay full - Silvano was helpful. he did everything expected in a 5 star hotel. he knows what service you should have. he should be a manager

- can’t say peaceful as they put us in a room with people working on the outside pool. so for a day we had constant noise. along with also been next to a game room, with a piano. while my partner tried to work, which they were told about before arriving. did say quiet room. also, before it’s said. we couldn’t just move, my partner was working. you can’t blame us for not speaking when we said quiet room. also, never asked for a room upgrade. so don’t use that classic one. I stay at so many hotels that it’s on my booking.com app as something I do get. generally. but I never ask for it, nor need it. I just travel a lot. - calls to reception mostly don’t get answered - the chef doesn’t seem capable of coming up with recipes of his own, so my partner and I had to think up all meals. - the price of meals are excessive. when it isn’t a tourist location, there’s nothing around and point blank no reason for it. I’m always happy to pay a price when it makes sense. - cars block EV charging, so my partner had to keep telling reception - there seems to be no maintained part of the grounds. no manicured gardens. - Spa you pay for, for two hours. I’ve been in many a 5 star hotel. this isn’t normal. - no nice greeting at the doors, no one was there at doors. we just got watched by several workers. it was strange and not okay. - workers staring at my dog, got her uncomfortable. clearly they don’t know dog body language - they don’t label allergens, they seem to only care for people who like and can eat anything and everything. another guest had a son with a nut allergy. he went to my partner for help. As no one helped him out. - people speed and on the grounds. what’s with people and driving stupidly. this need to be put a stop to. they’re dogs and people on push bikes. along with whatever wild animals are around. - our food extremely restricted, but we pay full - 15 euro for a price of one small avocado on toast. With bread that can almost break teeth

Les Sources de Cheverny provided a very relaxing experience at an exceptionally high standard, with its location in the peaceful countryside, very tastefully furnished rooms and very friendly staff. Wonderful location for taking a weekend off.

Fantastic hotel - the building itself and the interior is impressive. The staff are extremely accommodating. The surrounding forest is also amazing.

For guests who do not have a rental car, it will be extremely costly to get anwhere not within walking or cycling distance, as taxis from the hotel are a minimum of 60 Euro. The Spa prices were also abit higher than one would expect.

The beautifully curated interior design, the connection with unspoilt nature. I loved it all - special and exceptional experience.

Small details - have milk available in the room mini bar, better quality toilet paper and maybe a brighter lighting option for the moody green walled rooms.

Polite and efficient staff. Lovely pool and spa. Amazing grounds for walk in the forest. Unbelievable restaurants. Spacious rooms.

We stayed in the original Chateau and it was excellent. Large room, comfortable bed, excellent facilities like outdoor pool and hot tub plus comfortable lounge areas with tea and coffee to relax and fabulous staff. After staying in other 5* Chateau properties in France, I can say this is the only one that equates to an actual 5* property.

Hard to think of a negative, however I do think the Spa facilities should be included in the room rate.

While breakfast was perfectly fine, to pay 25 euro felt a bit much for what it was.

The charge for breakfast was really the only annoying thing.

Beautiful and outstanding hotel, amazing spa, wonderful service, wonderful restaurants. We loved pur stay at Les Sources de Cheverny

We liked the general location, setting and the general standard of the hotel. The pool was fantastic and the staff and service were excellent.

First evening spoilt by large cycling party who dominated check-in and were extremely boisterous at dining. In paying for this standard of accommodation, we expected a quieter, more personable atmosphere. Room was OK but lacked any sort of outlook.

Staff was incredibly friendly, which tells me they like their job and have great management. All the services were first rate. Beautifully furnished room. Definitely five star accommodations. Excellent restaurant with wonderful and attentive waiters, and delicious food. Chateau is historic.

Very expensive. If you are not on a budget, this place is for you!

Everything is done in exceptional good taste. Every detail is taken care of. Service is exceptional, we felt we found heaven.
