Best equipped and best presented accommodation that I've ever stayed in. Cannot praise it highly enough. If you want total peace and quiet in a well equipped and comfortable environment, then this is the place for you.

Disappointing because of the upsetting way that we were treated.

The location was quiet, although the owner's dogs kept barking in the garden.

There was no guidance or information regarding the operation of heating and hot water controls. Signs banning towels from the towel rail and the wearing of shoes in the lounge and bedroom. Lack of any understanding and compassion for my partially blind wife who booked the cottage without seeing the 'no pets' sign. Although the owner and his wife knew we had our dog with us, we were only alerted to this ban after 7 days when we were told that we would be charged £100 for extra cleaning. We declined to pay any additional fee direct to him and he implied that we should arrange to move out. His complaints continued for over an hour and stopped us from eating until after 10.00pm. My wife was very upset and in tears and neither of us slept until after 5.00AM. 'Cottages.com' resolved the matter with great compassion the following day and confirmed that we should stay for the full 14 days and that no additional payment was authorised. The owner never contacted us again, although he lives next door. Guests have to walk past his back door to access the cottage and we never felt welcome after that.We finally decided to leave a day early. We are both 71, responsible and respectful professionals. Our tiny, miniature dog always slept in a transit case. We left the cottage clean and in perfect condition.

Perfect relaxing break.

Absolutely loved our week long break here. The cottage was wonderful. Very cosy and well equipped. The SPA bath was perfect after a long drive or a days walking. Would definitely come back. The owners were there to welcome us on arrival and very informative and helpful. I would highly recommend this cottage and the peaceful location was just what we were looking for.

Bathroom slightly chilly but didn't matter too much once a lovely hot bath was waiting.

The cottage is beautiful, beautiful owners and beautiful location!! We loved our stay, owners very warm and welcoming, couldn’t be any more helpful!! Cottage was absolutely spotless, had everything we needed. Will definitely be back. Thank you to Mr and Mrs McGunnigle for their hospitality
