Aita Baita

Aita Baita is an absolute delight, and Claire and Jörg are the consummate hosts. They make you feel like you are staying with family, and one simply cannot put into words the beauty and charm of their home. The house itself is gorgeous, full of unique history and culture, every detail considered. Wonderfully renovated, especially the bathrooms, while keeping the authentic charm and glamour. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, beds very comfortable, and access to helpful kitchenette. Claire and Jörg make the most delicious breakfast; it was something we looked forward to every morning. They are also generous with their local knowledge and recommendations; some of our favorite restaurants and experiences came from our conversations with them. We loved the location in Ciboure, an easy walk to the center of St.-Jean-de-Luz, yet quiet and residential near the home with plenty to offer in the neighborhood. It felt like we were part of the hum of local life. Aita Baita is not to be missed if you are looking to truly experience Basque Country!

Todo fue perfecto. La casa es preciosa, la habitación era un sueño, las vistas preciosas, el desayuno inmejorable y los dueños encantadores. La casa está muy cerca de todos los sitios de interés andando, pero en un lugar tranquilo.

Nuestra estancia ha sido simplemente maravillosa. Todo estaba impecable y cuidado al detalle. Destacamos especialmente la limpieza, el ambiente acogedor y la tranquilidad del alojamiento, que hacen que uno se sienta como en casa desde el primer momento. Los dueños son encantadores, muy atentos y pendientes en todo momento de que nuestra estancia fuera lo más agradable posible. La dueña, además, habla muy bien español, lo que facilita mucho la comunicación y hace que el trato sea todavía más cercano y agradable. El desayuno, preparado con mucho cariño por la dueña, es muy completo, variado y delicioso. Además, poder disfrutarlo en el jardín, con unas bonitas vistas, hace que la experiencia sea todavía más especial. La habitación cuenta con Netflix y wifi, y disponer de aparcamiento en el propio alojamiento es un gran plus. La ubicación es excelente, a unos 10 minutos andando del centro de San Juan de Luz y de la playa, por lo que se puede disfrutar de todo cómodamente sin necesidad de utilizar el coche. En definitiva, un alojamiento acogedor, tranquilo, impecable y con una atención inmejorable. Hemos estado encantados con nuestra estancia y, sin duda, repetiríamos y lo recomendamos al 100 %.

Claire & Jorg are warm and attentive hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. They preempt every need, set up the room to ensure maximum comfort, surprised us with a lavish breakfast spread, and checked in with tips and stories throughout our stay. We stayed in the family room which was very comfortable for the four of us especially with the AC during this heat. The house is walking distance to Ciboure town center and St Jean de Luz, which is another advantage. Claire and Jorg's home was my family's favorite "hotel" during this European getaway!
