Hotel Praia Confort

We stayed at Praia Comfort on two non-consecutive nights and had a very good experience both times. The location is extremely convenient, right in the heart of the Plateau, just a short walk from the markets, the pedestrian area, restaurants and the shared taxi departure points. Both rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and a balcony overlooking the city. The bathrooms were also large and well maintained. Breakfast was another highlight: in addition to a good buffet, there is a very kind lady who prepares eggs to order according to each guest’s preference.

Only a couple of minor details: although the booking was for two people, both times we found only one large towel and one small towel in the room. Also, the air conditioning in the room during our second stay was not particularly effective.

Difícil dizer

Well placed in the middle of the plateau. Easy to find. Staff were helpful. Good size of room. Clean, comfortable beds.

Dark inside, possibly a good thing in the Summer months. We chose a room to the back of the property thinking it would be quieter than the Main Street and square but it was a poor choice. It was noisy outside, late music which the glazing did little to dampen. Smaller things were broken like the bedside lamp and the handle to our door which frequently came off in my hand. Staff were helpful when approached but looked miserable.
