The feeling of staaying at an old black and white movie hotel, with life in the comommon areas and rooms that open to some kind of an interior patio. The best and liveliest street in Praia

The taxi service they used to book ours canceled the course without warning, we wouldn't have known in it time for our flight if we hadn't asked before the driver should have arrived.

Very clean, friendly staff, great location, and beautiful old-style building with nice common areas (i.e., terrace, chess board, work desk).

Loved this place. It had bags of charm. Right in the center of town, near all the music bars and restaurants - so quite safe even at night as there are plenty of people around as well as security for the venues. Lovely public areas in the hotel - nice reception, indoor sitting areas, outdoor terrace etc. Helpful staff. The rooms themselves were fairly plain but no complaints at this price point. The only negative was the noise. Other guests commented on the wifi but I found it was ok. There were 4 or 5 different wifis so you just had to find the one that worked best with your room

The street music is loudly audible even in the back rooms so if a quiet night is important to you stay elsewhere

Decent hotel at a great location. The hall is nicelt decorated, and the breakfast at the cafe across the street is a nice experience.

The staff was not very welcoming/uninterested, and it’s good to know that most rooms only have an indoor window.
