Pahalage Guesthouse

Room smelt musty, mattress was like being on a water bed. Bath towels were of poor quality, they left red fluff on your body after using them. The pool is OK but they had tried to repair the tiles on the edge of the pool and used blue marker to cover up the grout on the chipped tiles. This left blue blotches all over our little boys hands, arms and legs as he climbed in and out of the pool. The food was over priced and not that great. The breakfast was OK. There was an issue with flies around the fruit, another guest complained about it, so they sprayed insect repellant directly around the fruit. They made no attempt to cover, move or protect the fruit whilst doing this. Just sprayed around the platters of prepared melon, mango and jackfruit. The garden is OK, but they would start sweeping at 07:00 on a daily basis, if you're a light sleeper it can be annoying. The rooms do not have any curtains or blinds. Just net curtains. There is no way to block out the morning sun or the evening lights. The location is OK.
