Peaceful and relaxed
Good location, less than 10 min walk from city centre. Very peaceful and very friendly staff. The rooms, the green areas and the restaurant are great. The women that run this place are amazing.

Very authentic and romantic place to stay, but remember that you are in the middle of the jungle!
The rooms are lovely, beautifully decorated, and we really enjoyed food at the restaurant. Try the agua del día. The location is very quiet, you can hear a lot of animals, but it is only a short walk into town (about 10 minutes to centre and a bit less to the ADO bus station). The massage is highly recommended!
Rooms are draughty and damp, which is partly due to the climate. But we felt that our room had not been aired or cleaned for a long time, and it wasn't very clean. The ladies who manage the place could be a bit friendlier.

Exceptional
The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The environment was lovely. Excellent breakfast and dinner. The shop has a large stock of high quality, fairly priced, items (textiles, clothes, soaps, drinks) produced by members of the women's cooperative that owns and runs the hotel.
The outside lighting was terrible – bright and on all night and passing through our room' thin curtains. Whenever I woke up I'd think it was morning, only to realise that it was still the middle of the night.

Very nice people working there! Room was big and the place very calm and safe, but it's better if you like to walk, else you may not like the location. A lot of hot water. Cool handmade soaps. Nice little shop at the reception.

A beautiful place supporting a wonderful cause!
Me encantó mi estancia en Hotel Taselotzin, con una habitación muy cómoda y con todo lo que necesitaba. Disfruté en especial la ubicación-- tenía la oportunidad de ver muchas aves en los arboles alrededor del hotel y es fácil caminar al centro para comer y disfrutar el pueblo. Llegué tarde mi primer noche y la personal de la cocina me cocinó un plato de tlacoyos aunque la cocina ya estaba cerrada! Muchas gracias a todas en Hotel Taselotzin! English: I loved my stay at Hotel Taselotzin. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. I especially enjoyed the location—I had the opportunity to see many birds on the hotel grounds, and it was easy to walk to the town center to eat and enjoy the town. I arrived late my first night, and the kitchen staff cooked me a plate of tlacoyos even though the kitchen was already closed! Thank you so much to everyone at Hotel Taselotzin!
