It's more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel, and definitely not a three-star hotel. Its owners are committed to sustainability, so you won't find bottled water, shampoo, or air conditioning here. It's located near a beautiful beach and the center of Paje. The garden is beautiful. The staff is very helpful, especially Sadat. You can get beer and Tanzanian wine for a reasonable price. The rooms are spacious, with basic amenities.
The rooms are a bit dark, and the power often goes out, meaning there's no hot or cold water (even in the toilet). Breakfast is okay, but the portions (apart from the pancakes) are small.

The thing we liked the most was the gentleness and care of the hosts: Elkse and Saddam
They were really kind !
The staff was also super friendly and helpful
We also liked that we were minutes walk from the ocean and minutes walk from the village.
We liked the people, they were great story tellers !
We didn't like the plastic on the village streets and along the shore
We didn't like the living conditions of most of the people
We didn't like the frequent electricity shortages and the noise of the generator

The breakfast was excellent and free water was given to me to take to the room any time I wanted. Everybody was helpful and friendly. Location was great.
It was a bit difficult using the closest pathway to the beach due to their being a big hole in the path. But this was nothing to do with the hotel and inside the hotel was comfortable.
