Pleasant stay but on checkout accused me of stealing an item from the room!!!!!

The stay was here was pleasant. The beds were comfortable. The rooms are a decent size. No mould. There was an android box so you could watch Netflix etc. The curtains were blackout but in the morning there was a lot of light around the edges but they did block the majority of the light out. The roof top pool was really nice and the staff that worked at the roof top pool were very polite and nice and were playing with my son. The bathroom is big but pretty old. Breakfast was okay, a mix of western and Indonesian, not amazing but ok for 90k. The staff at breakfast were nice. My four year old son was free for breaky. The area is quiet bit of canggu but not a lot around but you can order gojek or eat at the restaurant. The food was nice from there. The safe jammed and my items got stuck in there, the staff had to come and unlock the safe so I could get my valuables out.

The pillows were too big for sleeping and uncomfortable but the bed itself was comfortable. Unfortunately the sheets had a lot of marks and stains on them as did the towels. There were lots of tiny ants on the bed, I would get all of them off and then they would come back an hour later. It did make the sleep quite uncomfortable. The shower had no hot water, I would say barely warm so had to have very quick showers. The aircon was very old, very rattly and noisy at night and kept my son and I both up several times during the night. The breakfast is ok but not amazing. The stay overall was pleasant HOWEVER just as I was checking out and paying for my minibar items the staff member (pregnant lady at reception) accused me of stealing a mug from the room and asked me where did I take it!? A security man came over to me like he was going to start looking through my bags!!!! I found this INCREDIBLY rude and for this reason I would never stay there again. I DO NOT need to steal a mug from a $40 a night hotel. The mug was behind the tv where the kettle station was, and even when she found that out it was in the room, she did not say sorry or even let me know they found it! In 8 years I have NEVER been accused of stealing!!! I was really hurt, disgusted and would now never recommend family or friends stay here because of this. There is a much nicer way to ask that isn't accusing someone of taking/stealing something from the room!

me and my 4 friends all stayed here and thought it was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and helpful, it was close to both Bali MMA where we were training and also has a great number of gyms close which were all walkable. The rooftop pool was also fantastic and was always quiet. We actually extended our stay so had 13 nights in total.

There was no problems at all from our point of view, you could get to Canngu very easily and normally down to La Brisa or Shortcut in around 10 minutes (depending on traffic which across Bali can be hectic)

Confort, cleanliness and excellent food

The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The bed was huge and super comfortable. The jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing. The pool stayed open until late, great to enjoy after going out. The food was tasty, abundant, and very reasonably priced. The cocktails were excellent (Specially the ones we took while swimming in the pool) The breakfast buffet was outstanding – very complete and delicious. Everything was spotless, very clean throughout the hotel. Room service was very complete and always on time. They made our life easier by renting thru the hotel, a motorbike for us

It’s not about the hotel itself, but we didn’t really enjoy Canggu as a location – it felt too chaotic and full of motorbikes everywhere. Something to keep in mind, but definitely not the hotels fault

Would definitely stay again

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the breakfast each morning was delicious. The location is peaceful and quiet, yet still convenient to get around with a short Gojek ride. It was the perfect balance of relaxation and accessibility. We would definitely choose to stay here again on our next trip to Bali.

Lovely pool and bar area, place to relax with a couple of drinks with a skyline view of Canggu. Staff very lovely and let us check in early.

Way too far out of the Centre for people intrested in that. Not walking distance at all, although the taxis are cheap it’s nice to walk everywhere. Can hear everything from the first floor room.

Terrible management and zero responsibility.

I rented a motorbike from the hotel, which in turn rented it from a rental company. From the very beginning, they didn’t ask me to sign any papers, didn’t request a driver’s license, no deposit, and gave no information about insurance or conditions. Absolutely nothing. When I had a problem with the motorbike and went to ask the receptionist for help — less than 24 hours before arriving in Bali — the hotel took no responsibility at all. They didn’t help or guide me in any way. Terrible treatment of guests. I ended up paying 500,000 IDR out of my own pocket for something that was clearly not my fault. When I spoke to the manager, he said: “If I had known earlier, I wouldn’t have made you pay.” But when I asked for a refund, he didn’t give it to me, and I’m still waiting… A totally disappointing experience. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

Perfect Location to See Canggu!!

Facilities were nice and clean especially the roof top pool bar which looked over all of canggu. The staff were really friendly and the location was within a few good cafes in walking distance but also far enough away from the chaotic main roads which made it a more peaceful stay. Even if you needed to branch out most places we're 5-10mins away in a gojek scooter.

maybe upgrade to a deluxe room cos the first floor can get noisy when people are coming and going but not a major.

Good hotel , get a new air conditioning and better lighting in the room.

It was good value for the room I got and the people were kind there. They clean the room everyday, and you can order food to your room from downstairs. The room look nice.

The air conditioning was pretty bad, I tried to sort it out several times but was told that it works. They did try to help me with another solution but it wasn’t enough. I slept there for 2 weeks and I couldn’t sleep during the day , after 8 in the morning . I thought something else was the issue until I moved to another place with better air conditioning. I don’t know if other rooms has better air conditioning, and I do wish I checked that out. The lighting in the bathroom is bad. Don’t leave any type of food on ur room , if you want to avoid insects. I got food poisoning once from the breakfast but that was only once out of like 4-5 days I had breakfast there. The area next to the hotel is not the best location, as it’s very empty, and you have to order grab to get to somewhere. I don’t usually post reviews but I want to post this so they can fix this problem for future customers. Sleep is the most important thing in a hotel and unfortunately mine was effected.

Had to pay extra for 1 more room key. Could not pay deposit for the room with card, only cash. They had Happy Hour by the pool for certain drinks but there was hardly any alcohol so dont bother

I loved staying at this hotel.

The room was amazing. The food was great. I stayed there for 27 nights and the staff treated me like a king. The best of all was the roof top pool bar with stunning views of the coastline and sunsets every night. Happy hour was great too. A fantastic hotel.

Overall great - the pool deck was lovely and the view from the top great.

The room was big and the bathroom was clean. However the tap was sticky so could not get the shower head to work properly. But everything else was great.

Cool rooftop, but otherwise do not recommend

Good rooftop pool & view, bed was comfy enough

Stains on the sheets, duvet & hand towels on arrival, hand towel looked as though it had something wiped on it & left there. Bathroom smelt, which stank out the room. One of our window latches was broken so we couldn’t open it, and were too scared to open the other window incase it broke too. Rented a scooter from the hotel (which I believe they do their rentals externally) but the key/lock broke, leaving us stranded at the beach. We then had to taxi back to the hotel (which we paid for ourselves, on top of the scooter rental) and then were made to go BACK to the beach/scooter to get it fixed (which they were unable to do, and then tried to get us to pay for a new key!!!). Really disappointed by this as we ended up wasting about 2 hours trying to get it sorted when we had other plans to go sightseeing in that time instead. We received no compensation for our time or hassles, and no apology - so do not recommend hiring a scooter through the hotel. Room service on our first night took over an hour, which we had to follow up on, as I believe they forgot our order but again no apology or compensation. Do not recommend staying here unless you’re desperate for a good rooftop view.

Had a great time at Canggu Dream Village Hotel. The room was good value for money, although there was a slight strange smell. The food wasn’t great, but there plenty of good options nearby. The 24-hour staff were attentive, and the rooftop pool provided a great sunset view.

The staff is just amazing, the kitchen is good and open 24/7, the room is cleaned every day, this is the best rooftop in canggu, this place was definitely worth it

For a tourist, this is not in the very center, but for someone who stays a month and gets a Moto, its way better than staying in the center cause you cut a lot of traffic when going to other places to explore the island! The deluxe room has 2 vertical windows which do let in quite some light, however the room could benefit of bigger windows with more lighting

Loved the property. All team is very helpful and hospitable. FnB, FO and HSKP were really doing a great job. Small comment to the owner of the place: Spent money of Name tags for your team members even if they are trainees. I mean that's how you increase your recognition in the market. You have a wonderful team but half of them don't have name tags. One more, invest in their uniform ) Respectfully,
