Location of lodge is good. Vicibility of site should be more prominent especially due to busy traffic on road next to lodge. Security is excellent.

It is within a house, and the room interjoins a shared lounge and kitchen. Braai facilities are available. Surbabia neighbourhood.
Charged extra a quarter of the published price just to add an extra mattress.
It is actually a bit far away from the Pietermaritzburg CBD.

The room was beautifully done the owner took time to create such a beautiful place
TThe aircon had a problem it didn't function as normal. When put on it had a terrible smell. Owner advised that the is no tech onsite and no option to heat room either, therefore the room was really cold. The room walls were not clean it had lots of water marks all over. The bathroom and shower area was also not clean the tiles had toothpaste residue from previous occupants.The bed was too high and soft we sunk in when sitting or sleeping on it.
