About this house rental
A large exceptionally well equipped holiday home for family groups who would like to stay together. 'AVALON' would also suit business executives on corporate retreats who need more space and privacy than a Hotel for a team meeting .
You will love the tropical design of this home - high cathedral ceilings, sliding doors to let breeze through, multi level living areas (indoors and outdoors), a dream kitchen looking out to the long covered front verandah. Two carefully crafted custom made timber slab tables on the verandah will seat everyone with fabulous views to the mountain on the other side of the valley. Enjoy the best of both worlds , close to the city with an international airport, easy access to reef and beaches, yet peaceful -enabling you to relax after a busy day out adventuring.
Spend an evening sitting on the front balcony looking at the mountains and watching the birds and butterflies. We even have a an echidna "eddie" that wanders though the neighbourhood - you may hear rustling in the front garden of an evening and get to meet him.
As we back onto the mountain with a seasonal creek to one side you will also see occasional wallabies, bush turkeys, kookaburras and many varieties of birds. The crystal clear pool with a shallow end for children is partly protected from the sun with a shade sail. Coloured pool lights and a waterfall make night time swimming fun!
This property has an electronic entry gate and a palm lined driveway leading up to a 2 bay lockable garage.
A quiet and peaceful location away from the hurly burly of city life, but you are only a short 15 minute or so drive to City restaurants. Redlynch shopping centre is just 4.8Km away for all your grocery needs.

Great house a wonderfull peacefull outlook, could not ask for better we are 7 friends who get together once a year traveling from New Zealand, Sydney and gympie.This has been the best by far accommodation we have had.Thank you

My Family and my Sister-in-Laws family all stayed here. We had a great time. The location is away from the Downtown, but exactly what we were looking for. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. They had a video game system with all the old school games and the whole family had a great time playing pacman, Galica, frogger, and many others. The view from the deck, where we always ate was amazing. Lots of birds around and the sounds were fantastic. The pool is beautiful, but we didn't use much as it was a bit cold for us. Hosts were easily available and very wonderful to deal with. I would recommend to any large family and it was so great I want to make another trip to Cairns just to stay there again.

Brilliant, lived up to all expectations. Had everything needed from 2 year old to 70 year old. Would have no problem recommending this property.

Absolutely amazing, huge and well equiped property. Steven and Lizzie made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back at Avalon for our next trip up Cairns :) :) :)
