Det lille gule hus

If you are visiting Suðuroy, the Faroes' southermost island, this is a wonderful place to stay. It is a private home, full of personal family belongings, and has an amazing view out over the fjord. About 5 minutes drive from the ferry landing, with plenty of parking, a lovely yard, and completely comfortable, with full kitchen for self-catering. There are three different bedrooms, each with a great view, and very comfortable beds. There's even a fjord view from the shower! Solid wifi, and easy access to the house with the keys in a lock box. There is noone on site, but the owner is helpful and communicative if you need anything. Highly recommended for a visit to Suðuroy!

Hard to think of anything negative to say. If you do not have a car, the house is a bit on the outskirts of Tvøroyri, so it's a long walk to get to shops, restaurants, etc. If you have a car, it's a quick drive to town. The stairs to the bathroom and bedrooms upstairs are extremely steep and narrow, almost like a ladder, so if you have mobility issues or problems climbing stairs, that might be difficult - but we found it quirky and charming!

Too many things inside the house that are unnecessary. Small rooms. Steep stairs.
