Carob Hostel

We had quite a few questions and uncertainties about our holiday plans, and they were always happy to help. Even before our reservation, they took the time to answer all of my questions and gave us sincere and helpful advice. The location is very close to the Old Town, which was great. However, if you prefer to walk, there is a very steep hill on the way back to the hotel, and it was honestly quite challenging. The second time, we used Uber, which cost us around 1.5 JOD and took us directly to the hotel. We also had some difficulties understanding how the buses work in Jordan, but the hotel staff explained everything to us very clearly and helped us navigate the transportation system. The common areas of the hotel are incredibly peaceful and beautiful. There are several charming spaces where you can relax and spend time enjoying the atmosphere. We travelled as two young women and felt completely safe throughout our stay. I would definitely consider this hotel a safe and comfortable option, especially for women travelling alone.

One thing to keep in mind is that the air conditioning in our room was not cooling properly, so unfortunately, we could not really use it. Since the room has single-glazed windows, it also got quite warm at night. Apart from that, everything was wonderful and we had a very pleasant stay. Also, just a small note: keep in mind that towels are available for an additional fee.

If you are not young and worried about trying a hostel— I highly recommend Corob! I am a 66 year old solo traveller and this hostel is an excellent option!

Great hostel Really clean and well-maintained hostel with a great location. The staff were the best part of the experience — extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything. The hostel has everything you need for both short and long stays. The atmosphere was relaxed and safe, and the common areas were comfortable and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay!
