The entrance is step-free and suitable for wheelchair users.

The property is a short drive from central Atenas, restaurants, supermarkets and daily services, while Juan Santamaría International Airport, San José, Pacific beaches, waterfalls, volcanoes and mountain excursions are convenient by car.
Check-in is from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please share your estimated arrival time. At the entrance gate, contact the hosts so they can authorize and open it. The key is provided at the property.

The cottage is one of 3 rental units plus the owner’s house near the top of Vista Atenas, about a 7 min drive from Atenas. You will need a car but probably not a 4x4.
The cottage DOES NOT have pool access which we learned only when we arrived - only 2 units do. This was a big blow for us. (Owners claim it’s the website’s fault on the listing). Additionally, the studio has no patio or deck. So you’re inside or you’re out in your car.
It is an open-plan studio with pleasant decor. There was a welcome basket and an equipped kitchen. The studio has adequate cooking, sitting, dining and sleeping areas and a partial view of the valley. The tiny bathroom has no door (curtain) and the walls do not go to the ceiling. The internet is just about adequate. There is no a/c but a good ceiling fan and big windows were sufficient (just). The parking is unshaded.
This unit would suit 1-2 smaller people who plan to be out most of the day and don’t mind the sound of barking dogs.
