De locatie op Askøy is super rustig. We hebben in een week welgeteld één gesprekje gevoerd en ook nog op ons initiatief. Iets te stil voor ons, maar zeker rustgevend. Het huisje is super knus en prachtig, het uitzicht op het fjord idem. Heerlijke grote tuin waar we helaas door het weer (5 van 6 dagen regen) geen gebruik van hebben kunnen maken. Vissen en suppen op het fjord voor de deur was een ervaring om nooit te vergeten. De aanwezige bluetooth speaker in de woonkamer was heel fijn.

De keuken was wat karig ingericht, er lag geen informatiemap o.i.d. in het huisje. De TV hebben we niet werkend gekregen. Er zijn twee bergruimtes, beiden niet toegankelijk waardoor we wat moeite hadden om de bagage (visspullen en sups) een plekje te geven. We hebben ons prima vermaakt, het huisje was basic, maar de locatie fantastisch. Nog één echt minpunt, direct voor het huisje ligt een enorm boorplatform dat overdag veel herrie en 's-nachts enorm veel licht veroorzaakt. Dat hadden we niet verwacht en was echt wel een beetje een domper.

It was a lovely home as advertised but there are rooms for improvement for future guests. We should have read everything in the link that the agent provided to be more prepared in our holiday. For 1st timers in Norway, the description of the holiday home in the advert could have included the exact location of the property not just “Lovely Home in Hauglandshella” as this could be misleading. The exact location should have been provided right away in booking.com. The place is for people with car in order to optimise the places to go & sights to see. It’s more than an hour away from the city centre with 2 bus rides or a bus & a boat. For people who want to avoid the hassle & bustle of the city this is the perfect place for them.

Manual instruction for the dishwasher machine would have been helpful. At least a hand soap & a spare toilet paper could have been provided. The unsightly view of under the stairs where all the cleaning stuff were could have been kept in a cupboard to give the house are more welcoming feeling. Mandatory 500,00 NOK for towels & linens on top of the rental payment - these are basic for any accommodation. I can understand if we ordered for extras but we didn’t.
