THE GOOD: location, location, location. Brilliant spot to explore Bergen on foot and live in the heart of old town with supermarket and all facilities and sights near. Clean and all equipment working. Secure and though ground floor, the narrow cobbled streets not only looked nice prevented vehicular traffic so actually quiet at night and generally. Good shower. Excellent wifi. Windows that open, which is one reason to avoid hotels in addition to having a kitchen controlling your meals.

THE MEH: I think a tape measure would have helped fitting out the flat. Lots of items eg fridge and washing machine were too large and their doors had issues opening. A futon in the main room would have given more room. The bed -key when you’re staying a week -was a bit soft and the mattress larger than the divan. The wardrobe was unnecessarily big and yet mostly full of the owners excess items for flat, laundry etc. No bed side lamp, and in kitchen no toaster. Also something beeped intermittently. THE UGLY: we arrived to find the house covered in scaffolding which was a big negative given we hadn’t been told. It was a holiday so repressed opening with a pissed off call to owner as I didn’t want to let this tarnish the stay in this lovey albeit expensive town , but it was a spoiler. It affected the feel outside, in such a pretty area. It also made inside feel locked in. That was a big downer though I assume temporary.

This is a clean, quiet, comfortable, conveniently located apartment in a cobblestone-street historic area that is not overrun with tourists. Washing machine is a real plus! The supermarket is fewer than 100 steps away. Close to the aquarium and peninsula park.

No problems whatsoever.

Location. Charming suite in historic neighbor walking distance to everything

We are two friends travelling together. We booked this apartment as it was advertised as having a bedroom and a sofa bed. I contacted the host the day before checking in to request linen be available for the sofa bed and was informed at that time there was only one bed. We had prepaid and were enroute so unable to try to cancel and find something else. Had to make do with a comforter on an uncomfortable sofa. I checked website which still is listed as two beds - bedroom and sofa bed.
