Agriturismo Podere San Gregorio

We were travelling with our 4 month old baby and deciding between staying here or at an agriturismo further out of town. We are SO glad we chose San Gregorio! It was so conveniently located just a short walk into the main part of Pienza (along safe foot paths) and the room was a really good size, very clean and had everything you need. The shutters were also perfect for blocking out the sun when our baby slept. The whole family were so welcoming, especially Luciano who showed us the farm animals and gave us a tasting of their fresh produce. Would highly recommend for a family stay in such a beautiful part of Tuscany.

It was very hot when we were there which was manageable but would’ve been much less stressful with our baby if there was air conditioning (but we understand this is uncommon at agriturismos).

Heerlijk ruim appartement, van alle gemakken voorzien. Er was zelfs een afwasmachine maar bijvoorbeeld ook veel pannen. (Dat is in Italië vaak niet zo). Er was ook een lekker eigen terrasje. Ruime parkeerplaats. We konden ook wijn en olie kopen van het eigen bedrijf. Vanuit het appartement kun je lopend naar de stad, maar ook zijn er mooie wandelingen te maken.

We hadden geen contact met de verhuurders. Die leken steeds heel druk. Het ligt ook aan een drukke weg, dus lekker buiten zitten is er niet bij.

Podere a gestione familiare, a due passi dal centro. Il parcheggio in loco è comodissimo sia per visitare Pienza sia per uscire la sera a cena. L'ambiente è molto tranquillo e rilassante. Al nostro arrivo ci hanno fatto trovare una bottiglia di vino di loro produzione e un cesto con prodotti locali per la colazione. A brevissima distanza ci sono anche un supermercato e la farmacia. Se si desidera, offrono la possibilità di fare degustazioni di salumi, formaggi e vini. È stato davvero piacevole, alla sera, tornare e sedersi all'aperto per rilassarsi: ci si sente proprio a casa. Ci torneremo sicuramente e sarà un vero piacere invitare i nostri amici a farvi visita!

It was a very spacious room with a kitchenette. It was in a fantastic location where we could walk to the grocery store in a few minutes and into Pienza in about 7 minutes. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The basket of goodies, drinks and bottle of wine was much appreciated!

The wifi signal was very weak and we had to sit on our patio for a signal but the weather was beautiful so, it wasn’t much of a problem!
