Compass Rose is a newly renovated cottage tucked in the heart of the vibrant village area of Orr's Island. Perfectly situated for those who love to explore by foot, this sweet retreat places you just moments from beloved local spots. Stroll over to the nearby Salt Cod Café, right beside the iconic Cribstone Bridge, for a warm scone and a fresh cup of coffee. Or head next door to H2Outfitters and embark on one of their celebrated kayak tours.
Though Compass Rose is not located directly on the water, guests will find plenty of nearby beaches and convenient kayak and boat launch points. With cafés, restaurants, candy shops, art galleries, and gift shops all within a short drive or a leisurely walk, this charming cottage offers the ideal home base for discovering everything Orr's Island has to offer.
Inside, Compass Rose is thoughtfully updated and wonderfully welcoming. Step through the front door into the open living and dining area, where sliding doors to the right lead out to a side deck complete with patio furniture and a gas grill, perfect for outdoor dining or relaxing in the ocean air. The living room also includes a full-size futon, providing flexible extra sleeping space.
Continue into the fully renovated kitchen, featuring beautiful cabinetry, sleek countertops, and brand-new stainless-steel appliances. Just off the kitchen, the first-floor bedroom offers access to a cozy private balcony, a peaceful spot to enjoy a good book or catch an evening breeze on warm summer days.
A spacious, newly updated first-floor bathroom, complete with an oversized tile shower, sits conveniently off the kitchen and completes the main level.

This is a great little property for 2 couples maximum. The vertical standing space in the upstairs bathroom is a little limited and the water pressure in the kitchen sink is lacking, possibly due to limited well supplies. We found all the the other household facilities to be of a good standard.

Kitchen is well stocked with items necessary for preparing meals. Linens were professionally cleaned. House needs some AC for warm weather. Definitely needs a more comfortable sofa. We loved the area.
