We had a great time in Maine and at our cabin. The only thing I would say is that the living room furniture needs a little updating. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. Thank you for your hospitality!!!

We had a fabulous week at the whale watch cottage. It was rustic, but very clean, with all of the amenities we needed (and wanted). We really loved the woodwork and small details in the cottage. Reminded us a lot of my grandmother’s farm house. The host left a large basket of essentials and fun items for us. The kitchen is well stocked (SO MANY SPICES). Beds were very comfortable. Fans for every room. The view is amazing. I enjoyed sleeping with my window open to get the salty breeze at night. My kids loved the games and the fire pit. We were walking distance from the candy/ice-cream shop, houghton graves park, salt cod cafe and the unique Bailey Island Bridge (where we enjoyed finding hermit crabs at low tide). We met a bunch of really nice neighbors too. Most of all, the house is in the perfect location for us because Harpswell snd Brunswick are two of our most favorite parts of Maine. I really hope this home is available for our next trip to Maine.

We had a few hiccups in beginning, the property manager was helpful, the Maintenance man that came out was absolutely helpful. I do believe however, the cleaning contractors could do a better job. I spent the first few days cleaning.

We stayed at the Orr's Island Cottage for a long weekend while attending a friend's wedding, where all the festivities were on Bailey Island. The cottage was close to everything (either a short drive or walk) and perfect for quiet between-event moments to rest and recharge. I would highly recommend! The only thing we didn't know was that it was recommended to bring your own water (which was noted in the owners manual at the cottage but we did not see anywhere in the pre-stay communications) but it was easy enough to pick some up locally.
