About this cottage rental
Cape Cod style home in Fayetteville , WV voted coolest small town. This home has 3 bedrooms, 1 on main level and 2 upstairs. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds and one bedroom has two full size beds. Large living room, dining room and equipped kitchen. Small covered porch off the first floor bedroom for morning coffee or evening drink. Garage game room area with ping pong table. Large backyard for evenings around the fire pit.

Lots of nice touches in this cozy cottage. Incredibly comfortable beds and pillows, plenty of towels, and a very nice guest welcome package. This was perfect for our family of 5 "Bridge Day" weekend trip whitewater rafting. We really enjoyed the ping pong table too!

We rented this place because it was dog friendly so expectations were a bit lower, understanding not everyone rents to people with pets. We ended up not bringing the dogs, it would have been a great place for them.

A problem for VRBO and Airbnb is that everything is either 1 Star or 5 stars. This is basically a 3. It’s ok. The host is great. But it isn’t really what we thought we were renting. It’s not just that the house is old. Many things in it (microwave, grill,etc) are very old. This is a house to stay at and eat out every meal becaue the grill was rusty and the kitchen is small and not really equipped for cooking. Kitchen drawers fall out, etc. Pictures make it look like the back yard goes to the creek. It doesn’t. Just a chain link fence. Window ac units in upstairs bedrooms that didn’t cool effectively.
