We had a lovely stay here in Villa Bellamar. The location is good, not too far from the main strip. It’s fine walking down but coming back it is uphill, didn’t cause much of an issue though as taxis are plentiful and if you download the app hoppy there are scooters you can rent that we found very handy. The pool is not huge but it is bigger than it looks in the photos, it was perfect for us. It also has shade on some part of it almost all day which we found great when it was too hot. We also liked that it is completely private with high walls so passersby and neighbours cannot see in. The WiFi worked well for what we needed it for. There is a washing machine and dishwasher, although we didn’t use either. The villa is spacious but there was only 2 of us so we can’t comment on what the rest of the bedrooms were like to sleep in. The main bedroom upstairs is big and the air con is great. The water pressure in the upstairs bathroom was great for showering and always had hot water. Towels are also provided and were changed once throughout our stay. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and although it could do with a few maintenance improvements, we would most probably stay here again if we were to go back to the area.
The listing states that there is ironing facilities and although we found an iron in one of the wardrobes, we could not find an ironing board. I did message to ask about one and they said they would get back to me, but they never did. It meant I had to iron everything on a towel on the floor which was not very comfortable at all. We were there for 9 nights and the pool was cleaned once, but towards the very end of our stay. It would have been nicer to have it cleaned half way through maybe, to keep the pool fresh. It also stated the pool would be cleaned early in the morning or late in the evening but the staff arrived in the middle of the afternoon to clean the pool, while we were trying to enjoy it. It didn’t take too long so it wasn’t a massive inconvenience. There is also a terrible smell from the plumbing that comes and goes throughout the villa but that seems to be a problem in the area in general out there as we could smell it while out and about on some streets and in some pubs. The knob of the oven was also worn so we could not tell what setting we were putting it on, so it was a bit of a guessing game. Another minor thing is that there is no hand soap in any of the bathrooms or dish soap to wash the dishes so we had to buy our own.

The villa was clean, tidy, and plenty of space. Everything works as it should in villa with a nice pool. The location is good close to the supermarket and a few minutes walk to main shops and restaurants.
There was a smell from downstairs, either toilet or drain. Also, the bannister on the staircase upstairs was loose, and some of the patio chairs need to be replaced.

It really could do with a little TLC, it’s not bad just a little tired. Perhaps a welcome pack would be nice as there are no cleaning products leftover.
The thing that I would be most critical of is the smell from the drains, it was grim.
