2nd stay here, wonderful hosts, beautiful setting, amazing food! New bath house since my prior trip 3 years ago

The goats and the chickens were my favorite thing about the property. I asked both days during my stay if I could come to see the goats and they brought me to them which I very much appreciated. Especially because other than seeing the animals, there was absolutely nothing to do. The dinner was also outstanding. It was however, a lot of food.

I thought there might be trails nearby to walk on during the day but there was not. I knew that the house was rural but I thought at least I could take a nice countryside walk. Also, there were no locks on the bedroom doors or house and at night was a little spooky being there all alone. In addition, one night I didn’t take the dinner because I wanted to save the money so I ate food I had brought instead. The owner surprised me and brought me some goat cheese and bread which I thought was really nice but then when I checked out it was on the bill and I had to pay for it! I thought that was in very poor taste. Would be good for a night but not if you have to travel far to get there like I did.

The staff, the home, the food! All of it was superb! Everyone was so friendly and attentive to anything we needed. The food was one of the best meals we had on our trip (both dinner and breakfast). The house had so much charm and was so cozy!

We have been enjoying Japanese food. At Kumano Winery Guest House Giovanni and Yutaka added an Italian flavor … and really good wines, a welcome addition to our travels so far. Our room had a little view patio with two chairs, a really pleasant feature. The shared bath and toilet facilities were only a few steps from our room, but really? Go there for the food.
