The property is a lovely village of Uplyme, small shop in the garage and the Talbot Arms is great for a meal (suggest booking) or just an evening drink. Only a short and relatively easy walk to Lyme Regis which is stunning. Need a car for seeing other areas of interest. Ian the host is so lovely and helpful but it is so well stocked plus a bonus welcome hamper, you should not need a thing!

Wonderful, peaceful location. Charlesmead has everything you could need for a self catering holiday. We were especially touched by the welcome basket and milk in the fridge! We arrived a little later than planned but the lockbox made key retrieval stress free. The outside space was perfect to enjoy coffee in the morning and evening meals. The location, being so close to Lyme Regis as well as other south coast gems, was just what we were looking for.

A mirror to make leaving the driveway would be helpful, but it’s not too bad if you pay attention for other vehicles.
