D'Vista Homestay Apartments in Lotus Desaru Beach Resort

host has sent us detailed instructions on mail and whatsApp. We have stayed there on weekdays, so less crowd. Unit was good with mentioned facilities and services. Process for check-in/out, using facilities and parking was clear and good. Resort has good water activities for children and family along with beach activities. Indian vegetarian food was available and tasty in restaurant, also retail shop was there to buy some items. great stay overall.

Unfortunately cleaning was not so good during our stay with lots of ants/cockroaches(however manageable), due to pest control done before our arrival.

All good except....

1. The common toilet wasn't clean. 2. Lot of ants.

This is a privately owned property hence we were contacted directly to the owner. Communication was prompt and details were given prior to our stay. Location of the room is also good, its at the quieter portion of the Lotus Hotel, just a short walk to the beach/pool area. We appreciated the quietness and calmness away from the crowd, noise and sound.

The digital lock key wasn't working even though we have tried a gazillion times and followed every step provided (steps were actually quite detailed but confusing at the same time), and eventually had to call the owner. The owner had to arrange for his 3rd party cleaners to come while we wait outside the unit. The helper came to help to unlock the door using manual keys. Thankfully it was resolved but it was a pretty long wait, imagine with a baby with us as well. By that time, it's already nearly 1hr plus from our arrival. Owner was kind to provide us a late checkout time.

Location is convenient. Near to beach . Comes with good size pool and gym. Restaurants on-site
