Great spot to stay, especially if you want to walk into town!

The location was great! Just a short walk to town (5 minutes or less), there’s also an Aldi just a few minutes’ walk away if you need groceries. The house was nice - all bedrooms and one bathroom with a tub on the street/walk-in level, then downstairs is a comfortable living room, kitchen and dining area, another bathroom with a shower, and a utility room with a washing machine (no dryer, but our clothes dried pretty quickly). There was laundry soap there (though I’m not sure it’s always there or if it was leftover from someone else’s stay, but we appreciated it). We were 5 adults staying there (two couples in the two bedrooms each with a double bed, and the one adult stayed on a pull out couch/futon (which you could probably fit two people on). We heard a little traffic noise from the bedrooms as it is right on the main road), but it wasn’t enough to keep us up or wake us up. Patricia was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any questions I had. She had even turned on the heat before we go there so it would be comfortable upon our arrival. Did not see a hair dryer anywhere, but I imagine Patricia would’ve brought us one if I had asked for one. She also had helpful tips about things to do in the area. I would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable and convenient place to stay.

It was nice to have so much space in this comfortable property within walking distance to shops, restaurants and pubs. We were initially concerned with parking not being included but there was a free lot directly across the street. We also appreciated having a washing machine to catch up on our laundry.

Very disappointing

It’s location

Too many things wrong, no oven for 2 nights, basin blocked, no hairdryer, no bath mat, broken blind, window wouldn’t open and very cramped.

We thoroughly enjoyed Faye’s Place. Would definitely recommend.

It was a lovely space with everything we needed. Just a couple of blocks to town center so everything was very convenient. Since most of the coffee shops and restaurants don’t open until later in the morning, it was good to have the 11am checkout.

It was just ok.

Busy street - lots of traffic noise.

The upstairs tv did not work, and although we were told it would possibly be fixed, no repairman came. There is a clothes dryer in the washroom that would not turn on. When I texted the host about this, I received no help or reply even though we had previously texted about the tv. We had to travel with wet clothes upon departure. In general, the downstairs was cold and damp.

Two lovely levels of living space close to everything.

Our host was very kind. She explained how everything worked and the location allowed for easy walks to many restaurants/shops.

It was a little warm inside the place at night, but just make sure to pay attention to how to turn down the heat.

This is an old cottage which is cold, musty, and with no ventilation. The sofa bed in the so-called 3rd bedroom was inadequate for adults

Great stay at Faye's Place.

Patricia was a fantastic host; always one step ahead on essential communication, friendly and very helpful regarding local information and recommendations. The property was homely, comfortable and easy to relax in, with a surprising amount of space. And the location was just perfect; easy for parking and only a few minutes walk from some great restaurants, cafés and pubs.

Leaving was undoubtedly the low point.

Fabulous stay.

Very homey and close to the centre with bars, coffee shops and an Aldi in which we got some groceries and made a meal in the very functional kitchen. Two bathrooms so very handy with a family. The staircase down was steep but once you were use to it it was no issue. Patricia was easily contactable and instructions clear on entry and leaving. Some basic staples in kitchen which was very handy. Lovely little garden at back but too wet for us to use. We loved our stay and will recommend Faye’s Place to others.

Really expensive for what was offered.

Upstairs 2 bedrooms great. Very close to centre. Car ark free across rd.

No 3rd bedroom. Sofa bed hard and not equivalent to other rooms. Shower upstairs didn’t work. Bath looked nice but didn’t really function. Downstairs really dark and dingy. Very expensive for what it was.

Cosy house with all you needed

We were attending a wedding in nearby Lough Eske castle…house was 10 min drive away…everything including location, parking & convenience was spot on

Not really a negative but on a Main Street so noise with traffic. Didn’t bother us though.

Met our need for a place to stay for a night while passing through.

Layout was awkward, but may be typical for the location and culture. It had a damp smell and the rug in bathroom in front of the shower was wet. There was also a used wet towel hanging on a hook in the bathroom.

We liked this old house, had an extra living area on the first floor.

Her house is very conveniently located in the center of Donegal. There was a lot of room if you didn’t mind taking the stairs down to the kitchen and lower living room.

Two bedroom house

The location is great. The more recently decorated rooms are very nicely done. The house had everything you'd need for a short stay. Patricia responded quickly to any queries.

This is absolutely not a three bedroom house with two living rooms. It is a two bedroomed house with two living rooms, one of which has a sofa bed. We chose this accommodation because it claimed to have three bedrooms. We were disappointed to arrive and find that the third 'bedroom' was a living room and we had to figure out how to make up the sofa bed ourselves. This house is not suitable for anyone very tall, or claustrophobic. The more traditional downstairs part of the cottage is dark and the ceilings are very low. I'm only 180cm but I banged my head twice going down the stairs to the living room. It's not a big deal, just a feature of the house but should probably be flagged. This house is not suitable for anyone who is a light sleeper. The house is on the main street and as the sleeping accommodation is at street level it was pretty noisy because of passing traffic. The traffic noise started really early in the morning too so none of us slept beyond 6am either day we stayed.
