Nice, tidy, clean, fun, peaceful and relaxing – except for the check-in experience.

The accommodation is very good, we stayed in mobile homes and had a playground right in front, which is great for our two kids. Maistra offers plenty of activities for children and excellent beaches.

The only complaint we have is that we had to wait for more than an hour and a half to check in. That experience somewhat spoiled our overall impression. A gentleman with motor impairments was working at the reception and was extremely rude to the people waiting with us. When asked why only one reception desk was open, he replied: "Well, we have to eat sometime too." I completely understand that, but then organize things better, instead of making 20 people wait in line for an hour and a half. We arrived at check-in after spending the whole day outdoors and were really looking forward to getting to our rooms, but in the end, we had to wait another hour and a half at the reception.

Relaxing, calming and super fun for my kids.

Nature, beach, parks for kids. Lots of trees and trails that connect all the parks and mobile homes where kids can ride bikes, rollerblades, and scooters.

Lovely, child friendly place directly at the sea. Great value for money.

We were happy that our house was very close to the beach and to the swimming pools, cafe and the supermarket. (I need to add here that there are tons of houses so we were just lucky that our house was in the first row:))The beach is fantastic, its not rocky but with small stones, easy and comfortable access for elderlies and children. Restaurants are nice and not overpriced in the camping. The whole place is very child friendly, we did not even need to leave the camping with 2 small kids which made our life much easier. The camping is very clean, people are calm and friendly, its like a small cute village. The terrace of the house is big and comfortable, the AC is enough for the house, the homes are well equipped, in general we were very happy with the place and very likely come back in the future.

The only problem we faced was that we came with an infant and even if the camping was so nice to provide us a cot with no additional cost, the rooms were so small that we had no chance to fit the baby in to the room. Without an infant the house is completely enough for a family.

nice and clean mobile homes, friendly staff, beautiful views

because of the ants in our mobile home we got a new one with a higher standard for the same price which was very nice. Unfortunately, there was construction going on near the new mobile home, which didn't bother us too much as we didn't spend much time in the house. However, it is worth asking for a house away from the construction site when booking if you want to rest.

Bad experience

Like the campsite Valkanela.

It was end of the season-the last two days when the campsite is open and we got the mobile home almost and the back of the camp, with all other guests. The homes in the first rows were already locked and prepared for the winter what was a shame, as there were almost no other guests. But they rather putted us all into the last corner of the camp. Was very disappointed. The mobile home wasn't clean, the bed sheets were wet and dirty and covered with yellow stains. So we had to cover the pillows with our clean t-shirts. The towels were so used and with big holes that they falled almost apart. The sink in the bath room didn't work, so we had to use the kitchen sink.

Valkanela stay

Nice houses. Quite well equiped. Airconditioning does the job quite fine. About 5min walk to beach. Can honestly recommend this place.

it was okay

the big terrace was great, not too far from the pool and we had parking right before the house.

it was 6 beds but everything was a bit claustrophobic, very crammed into one small space and 2 bathrooms which I never get in these small spaces. we will probably never book this size house again even though we were 5 person's sleeping there. it's not worth the price difference. I'd rather have 1 sleep on the couch as this, no space for anything except sleep. thankfully the weather was nice so we spent our time outside mostly.
