We had a lovely time 8n Westerlo and enjoyed our stay at Hotel Geerts.

Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. The beds were very comfortable and room facilies excellent.

Unfortunately we arrived on a Wednesday and the restaurant was closed.

Never again will we return here,

Beautiful looking hotel. Clean room if dated. None slip bath mat needed in the bath for shower as bath very slippery and fall could easily have occurred.

Hotel was a ghost town when we arrived with no one at reception until almost 1540. We could not use free on site parking as the local market was on from 0600 on Wednesday and car would have been blocked in the hotel car park until 1400. We were not advised of this and found out by chance. Had to move car away from hotel to a dark alley overnight to avoid being blocked in. Staff off hand and quite aggressive when we asked why we were not informed and why this was not on the website. Suspect the happened a lot!

Good and friendly hotel in a cozy town

Hotel in an enchanting village, near a castle and with beautiful walkways through a lush park. The restaurant is good, with plenty of space to eat outside, in sun or shadow. Reservation recommended!

the room and hotel were okay

Wednesday they have "market day" cannot park in the hotel or outside, you need to park 300m from the hotel and I had 4 suitcases. I needed to park the car in the night far away, come back, and in the morning to go 2 times to check the car is okay and i parked in the right place, and to put the suitcases in the car. They should write clear - Not for business travel coming on Tuesday night. ohh, and the restaurant closes at 21:30.

We loved the friendliness of the staff. The garden and the restaurant are what makes this hotel worth the 4stars and what made our stay so pleasant. The room was very clean, large and modern. The bed was very comfortable and there was a fridge, a fan and coffee/expresso machine in the room. Breakfast was very nicely presented with an excellent choice and variety. We enjoyed our stay.

We clicked on the booking for a room with 2 single beds. On arrival, we received a room with 1 large bed. Unfortunately, the booking for 2 beds was not received via this website and it was impossible to get another room. This was unfortunate as I travel with my son and we really want 2 single beds... We solved it by 'dividing' the bed with pillows and rolled up towels. I understand the error was not on the hotel's side, but it was unfortunate and caused us some stress. I advice people to contact the hotel directly if you have specific requests. Don't count on this website to communicate everything you click on.

Good but for a 4 star hotel, needs to improve some points

The staff was friendly, the breakfast was very good. The room was big and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The dinner at the restaurant has a beautiful view and the food is very good.

The hotel is going through some maintenance/improvement works so there was loose wiring pending from the ceiling in the room and in the corridors. There were some noises from those works early in the morning on the 1st day. The curtains did not block properly the sun early in the morning. It was possible to hear quite well when other guests were in the shower or using water.

disappointing and no aircon.

breakfast was reasonably ok. but for a highly rated restaurant it was pretty basic and poor. expected much more from a property known for their kitchen

the room had a 10 cm plastic fan of 10 euro. and outside was 35 degrees. impossible to have a decent sleep. for that price to get a 10 euro fan is unforgivable. 120 euro for 1 person and this. i really dont get it. interior of the rooms extreemly dated. size room ok. they could make some great rooms without spending too much money but seems they are not interested.

Simple hotel with amazing food

The food is excellent, and the view of my room was nice. The hotel is simple with old style furniture and amenities, you still get a physical key to open the door. But everything works fine and the bed is comfortable.

Had to park somewhere else due to market in town (every week I think).

Net niet

De mensen van het hotel waren super gastvrij en heel aardig!

Ik vond het hotel 'outdated'. In de kamer waar ik sliep waren de kitrandjes in de douche niet fris, zat er behang los. Was het kastje van de minibar stuk. Het aan- en uitknopje van het lampje boven het bed was kapot. Waardoor ik het lampje eruit moest draaien om te gaan slapen. Het raam kon open, maar niet op een kier, zodat ik dat niet veilig vond om te doen. Ontbijt was karig. Het was het allemaal 'net niet'. Zeker niet voor die prijs die fors is. Ik betaalde ruim 300 euro voor 2 nachten en daar verwacht ik echt meer voor. De locatie is prachtig en het gebouw ook. En de dame die het ontbijt verzorgde maakte veel goed. Super vriendelijk.

Hotel de charme, chambre assez vaste, belle salle de bains. Literie très confortable. Bonne insonorisation. Si vous restez plusieurs jours : vastes rangements. Propreté et entretien général au top. Parking facile, sécurisé et gratuit alors qu'on est en centre ville. Rapport qualité prix excellent -quand on vient de France en tout cas -. Restaurant (L'Orangerie) remarquable : Qualité, quantité (!), choix, service (mais que la serveuse a l'air triste !) pour un prix correct. Petit déjeuner très bien également. Cerise sur le gâteau : devant travailler dans ma chambre le matin, j'ai obtenu un late check out à 13 H. Une très bonne adresse pour résumer

Pas facile de joindre l'hôtel au tél. De même, pas souvent quelqu'un à la réception. Pour les Francophones, Anglais obligatoire (ou Néerlandais évidemment).

Karakteristiek hotel, keurig verzorgd, heerlijke bedden, heerlijk en uitermate vriendelijk personeel

Het ontbijt was erg compleet en heel erg lekker! De gastvrouw was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Sowieso was iedereen erg vriendelijk.

Douchedeur ontbrak gedeeltelijk (kamer 1) waardoor de heerlijke warme douche toch een koude rug opleverde en de keurige badkamer kletsnat werd.

Was niet op de hoogte als er markt is dat je wagen niet in omgeving kan parkeren. Groot probleem als je te voet met valies moet tussen kramen lopen zeker als hoogbejaarde die moeilijk kan stappen

Ontspannen, vriendelijke mensen en aandacht.

Ontbijt was prima, niet spectaculair maar door bijv. vers gesneden fruit krijgt het iets extra. Koffie en thee werden aan tafel geserveerd maar de koppen waren zo groot dat het erg snel koud werd. De bedden waren goed, met 3 maten kussens, het schoonhouden van de kamer gebeurde iedere dag best grondig. Dineren in de Orangerie van het hotel was een feestje. Smakelijk eten en mooi opgemaakte borden. De bediening was bijzonder vriendelijk. Wel reservering nodig want het is er druk.

We hadden problemen met de verwarming (niet warm) en een keer geen warm water. De kamer mag wel iets opgeknapt worden, de ramen konden niet op een haak vastgezet worden en waaiden daardoor steeds open. Er was een espressomachine maar de verschillende maten van de kopjes was raar. Vooral als je met 2 personen bent wil je eigenlijk allebei wel een groter kopje, er stonden 3 maten waarvan elk één. Het parkeren was vooral later op de dag lastig, de parkeerplekken die achter het hotel lagen waren ingenomen door dinerende gasten en moet je soms een stuk rondrijden om een plekje te vinden.

Jammer dat we maar 1 nacht geboekt hebben. Een prachtig hotel alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Personeel heel vriendelijk. Ontbijt was verzorgd en lekker. We gaan zeker nog eens terug en dan eten we zeker eens in het restaurant.

Wohlfühlort mit Charme

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Hotel Geerts sehr genossen. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und hat uns bei allen Fragen kompetent weitergeholfen. Unser Zimmer war gross und sauber, das Bad ebenfalls sehr geräumig. Die Ausstattung war modern und durchdacht, alles wirkte gepflegt und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich, frisch und sehr fein. Besonders gefallen hat uns auch der schön gestaltete Garten, den wir wegen des Regens leider nicht nutzen konnten. Ein rundum angenehmer Aufenthalt – wir kommen gerne wieder.

La proprietaria super carina, ci ha accolto in modo super accogliente. Ristorante ottimo, struttura bellissima. Colazione speciale. Lo raccomando davvero a chiunque

La camera non era pulitissima, ma ci può stare in quanto la nostra è stata una prenotazione last minute .. hanno fatto il possibile in poco tempo.

Een prachtige kamer in een gezellig hotel.

Ik heb geen ontbijt genomen, omdat we van mijn nichtje haar huwelijksfeest kwamen. Maar mijn echtgenoot wel. En er waren schattige mini flesjes Atelier Rebule in de badkamer waarvan onze dochter hoopte dat we ze mee naar huis hadden genomen, omdat ze geweldig zijn,maar dat durfde ik niet.

Tijdens onze aankomt in de namiddag hadden we parking van het hotel zelf maar bij aankomst tijdens de ochtenduren niet meer. Onze dochter vind het nog steeds jammer dat we niet gevraagd hebben of we de mini Atelier Rebul mochten meenemen hahahaha.

Het personeel is vriendelijk. Het ontbijt is in orde.

Ik had een kamer gereserveerd met 2 eenpersoonsbedden van 90 cm, maar kreeg een kamer met 1 bed van 1m40 ... Veel te smal bed dus voor 2 personen. De kamer zelf was ook heel sober en klein. De badkamer is basic maar in orde.

Hotel charmant, au calme.

La qualité des prestations est au rendez-vous. Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel : que du frais, le salé est cuit à la perfection. Délicieux.

On n'y parle que néerlandais. On s'en est tiré avec nos bases mais un petit effort pour de l'anglais si le français n'est vraiment pas toléré, serait appreciale. Brochure dans la chambre uniquement en néerlandais ou en espagnol.
