Casa Tognarello is a lovingly restored 300-year-old farmhouse set in a peaceful hillside location in the heart of the Garfagnana, one of Tuscany’s most unspoilt regions. Surrounded by forests and rolling hills, the property offers breathtaking views and is perfect for a relaxing break with family or friends.



The house is located just above a small hamlet and about three kilometres from the village of Diecimo, where you will find a small supermarket, café, pharmacy and petrol station. Two recommended restaurants, 'Molin della Volpe' and 'Il Guerriero di Pellini Barbara' are around five kilometres away, and a larger supermarket is located in Gallicano, eight kilometres from the house. The historic spa town of Bagni di Lucca is only a 20-minute drive. The beautiful towns of Lucca, Pisa and Viareggio, as well as attractions like the Ponte della Maddalena and the Serchio River, are within easy reach.

Outside, guests can enjoy three furnished terraces, each with its own charm. One is right by the house with sweeping views of the valley, one is by the pool, and another is shaded by vines for peaceful outdoor dining.



Inside, the two-storey house combines Tuscan tradition with comfort. Exposed wooden beams, terracotta floors, neutral tones, and personal touches like a 1951 Moto Guzzi displayed in the bathroom create a warm and unique atmosphere.



An elderly neighbour lives next door, and his cats may visit the garden. Guests are welcome to pick fresh fruit from the trees.
