About this house rental

We would love for you to come stay at Clay Cottage. Our cottage has 3 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with two twin beds and one with a full. We have a full-size kitchen with all stainless appliances. There is a washer and dryer for your convenience and the bathroom has a full-size bath and shower. The backyard features a tree-shaded lot, a gas fire pit and plenty of seating. There is a driveway and corner lot parking. We are just a few minutes walk to Magnolia Market/ Silos and a few minutes drive to Baylor and McLane Stadium. STR License #000131-01-2020

Communication and check in process was seamless. Darling, well-appointed accommodations right in the heart of downtown Waco. We appreciated having such a comfortable stay close to Baylor while we moved our son into his dorm. Thank you!

Cute and very clean with everything you need to enjoy a stay. It’s an older house, so floors are sloping but I thought that added to the charm. Noise from street can be loud. Also there’s a freight train nearby that seems to go by at 3am and doesn’t stop blowing its whistle. Woke me up each night. Microwave stopped working a few times which was surprising because it’s a new one. Owner said he’d look into it. Speaking of owner, he’s very responsive and answers all questions immediately. Walking distance to Magnolia and restaurants. Lots of nice rehabs on the street but also some run down properties, but we felt safe.

The Clay Cottage is well appointed and comfortable, accommodating my family of six. The owners are gracious, kind, and excellent communicators. They provided a home that was appointed to allow us to prepare our meals and find refuge from the Texas heat during our stay. We were able to walk to many of the places we visited in Waco. This was a nice experience that was enhanced by the owners kindness.

A cute little house in a great location for accessing most of downtown Waco! We were able to walk to all the restaurants, shops, and attractions on our list! Plenty of street lights so we felt comfortable walking home from dinner even as it started getting dark. We ways travel with white noise machines, so had no trouble with street noise. Highly recommend!

This was the perfect spot for our 3 generation girls’ shopping trip. We were able to walk to boutiques and the silos and it was just a short drive to the places we wanted to eat. It was clean and we felt safe.

Girls trip to Magnolia Silos and a day trip into Austin. Lots of fun. A home tour of the Castle featured on Fixer Upper was a highlight! House was perfect walking distance tonthe Silos. Dinner at Hotel 1928 was fabulous. Do the bat boat ride in Austin.

We enjoyed a wonderful two-day stay at the Clay Cottage! The location is just a couple blocks from the Silos in a clean and fairly quiet neighborhood. A terrific base from which to explore all that Waco has to offer. Such a perfect spot to visit with friends in the cozy living room or around the fire pit out back. It was easily the best-equipped rental we have ever stayed in with all the kitchen necessities you would need. The beds were so comfortable! David was a great host with immediate response to any questions we had. We can’t wait to return for another stay.

Clay Cottage is an excellent option in Waco. Great location to Baylor as well as super close to Magnolia and so many things Waco. House was adorable with many little touches. Host was available with helpful info about the house, Waco and timely with check-in and check-out information. Neighborhood was safe. We will definitely look at staying here again!

The house was adorable and perfect for me, my daughter and my 3 grandsons. The location was great as far as Magnolia Market, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame , the zoo and all the great restaurants!! We absolutely loved our stay in this cute and charming home on Clay Ave! We were in Waco for Baylor’s Orientation for my freshman daughter and moving my junior daughter into a new house so this trip was a working trip for us! The location was perfect and only 2 blocks from Magnolia so I was able to walk to Magnolia Press every morning for coffee. My daughter and friend staying with us did morning runs around the silo district and neighborhood daily too and felt very safe. Clay Ave is a busy street but we never had any issues with noise at night. Also the beds were some of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. We’ve stayed in many rentals and it was so nice to come back home after a long day and get a good nights sleep. The house had everything, even a hairdryer for each bedroom which was such a bonus allowing us to dry our hair in the bedroom while someone else used the bathroom. One bathroom was never a problem - the house has everything you need, even extra toiletries, and the owners had cute baskets in each room with waters and chocolates for us upon arrival! Such a wonderful home and we will definitely stay again!

Overall wonderful property. Only issue is it sits on a very busy road with loud traffic all night. Cars blaring music were driving by all night. That said, it’s close to down town and accommodations were great. Just bring ear plugs for night time.

I came to visit Waco with my daughter and 2 grandkids ages 2&3. We had a wonderful stay at Clay Cottage. The beds were comfy, the living room was cozy and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The host was very responsive and offered many wonderful suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the area. The location was perfect, it was a quick walk to the Silos and we felt very safe. Check-in and out was a breeze. I highly recommend staying at Clay Cottage!

We enjoyed ourselves in this wonderfully equipped house. The decor is lovely, the furniture is very comfortable, and the ac works really well. The proximity to the Silos at Magnolia is awesome, and we enjoyed walking to restaurants, as well as cooking at home. Clay Avenue is busier than I thought it would be, but the house itself makes up for that.😊. Would highly recommend.

Cottage was very cute and clean. Bathroom was tiny and difficult to maneuver if you are more than 5'5" tall or over 185 lbs. Neighborhood is transitioning so be aware not all homes are updated and some transients may be around. We had no issues but just be mindful of surroundings. Abundant exterior lighting so light filtering window treatments would be helpful. Very close to Silos and downtown Waco. This was a great place to stay for our visit. Owners were very responsive and gave helpful guidance to local eateries and activities. We would stay here again.

We so love staying at the little cottage. The moment we walked in we felt so welcomed. The decor is amazing, and we were within walking distance of Magnolia Silos, magnolia press(fabulous coffee). The owner was in contact with us through out put stay. He even left lots of information of amazing things to do and see in Waco. Highly recommended this cute cottage for your home away from home.

This cute cottage is located very close to the Silo area. If it had not been so hot, (95-100 degrees) we could have walked to it. The cottage itself was clean and decorated very tastefully with lots of extras for guest: charging devices at each bedside, hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner, & bottled water to name a few. Although this home is located on a busy street, we were not bothered with noise that kept us from sleeping. There are several homes being renovated in this area, but again, no noise that bothered us. There is one bathroom, which is small, but the owners have taken advantage of every space to make it very functional. We had one issue the first morning we were there, but the owner, David, responded within 15 minutes and took care of the need. I’m happy we chose this rental as it was close to everything we wanted to do.

The house was super cute and had pleanty of room. The girls and I took a little mini girls getaway trip and this place was perfect we had the best time lots of laughs, playing games and relaxing. We spent time at Clay Cottage while visiting Waco for a girls trip. Its location to all we did could not have been better, but just know this house is on a busy street corner. We enjoyed walking to Magnolia Press for coffee each morning and our short drives to all we did. David was highly and effectively communicative and even left the porch light on for us for a 1:00am arrival. We enjoyed hanging out in the cozy living room together and laughing over our daily adventures. We would definitely stay here again!

Clay cottage is charming, well furnished and overall quite lovely. Well situated in the silo district. A short walk to the magnolia market and very short drive to the Dr Pepper museum. My cousin and I loved our stay there and recommend it if anyone is visiting Waco for the first time.

Stayed here with my mom and sister-in-law for a girl’s trip. Very cute cottage about two blocks from the Silos (5 minute walk). Easy check in process, easy communication with the host, toiletries provided, etc. Very cute and chill back patio, and you can hear concerts from a nearby venue as you sit outside and relax after a fun filled day.
