About this house rental
Private West Traverse Bay waterfront home located on a dead-end road over one mile from the traffic noise on M-22. Gorgeous sunrise view across bay to the Old Mission lighthouse. A short drive or bike ride to small town shopping and dining in quaint Suttons Bay. Twenty minutes to both Leland and downtown Traverse City. Located in the heart of Leelanau wine country.
Almost everything in the house is new within the last five years including complete remodels of both bathrooms, the kitchen, bedrooms, and the walkout basement rec room. The beach and deck receive morning and early afternoon sun with shade later in the afternoon. The dock is sunny from dawn to dark.
Beautiful private beach, dock, and elevated deck for sunbathing, swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Beach has a large fire pit and rustic seating. The beach has a small sand area for children, but the water is rocky and water shoes are recommended.
Main floor bedroom with king bed and three bedrooms on the second floor. Walk-out basement rec room with lots of seating for watching movies, playing games, and puzzles for rainy days. Full kitchen with dishwasher. First floor full size washer and dryer.

Kayaks available for use (2 single and 1 tandem) or bring your town water toys. There is a state boat launch approximately six miles to the south and another city launch in downtown Suttons Bay three miles north.

My family enjoyed our visit very much. We spent a good deal of time on the spacious deck looking out over the bay. We tend to cook a fair bit on our vacations and the kitchen was well appointed with plenty of pots, pans, etc. The home is on a secluded road and is very quiet and private. It is also close to Suttons Bay so shopping, etc., are convenient. The homes dock provided a good platform for launching kayaks and swimming but the water is too shallow to dock a boat. Host was great and I would gladly stay here again.

Our family of four had a lovely week in this house. We ate most meals on the large deck, looking over the lake. The pebble-shore, dock, and kayaks were big hits. It was a short drive to the Leelanau bike trail trail, and I slightly longer drive to Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore and many nice hiking trails. This place is a winner.

We loved spending 10 days at this cottage. It is just as the photos and listing described. It is a relaxed, comfortable cottage, well-appointed, awesome east-facing deck and fun fire pit area. Brian and Cathy were easy to communicate with and responsive to our questions. The location is great - a short drive (or substantial walk!) to Suttons Bay. Thanks for sharing it with our family!
