Gignod is a quiet little hamlet at the foot of the Grand St Bernard pass.It is very quiet. If you like it that way ,it’s perfect. Just remember there are not many restaurants within walking distance except for a hotel just 5 minutes away that specialises in pizza. Read further! Breakfast was excellent. Erica put on an excellent spread, cold meat, pastries and cheeses and a belting cup of coffee.

Unfortunately when we were there the pizza restaurant was closed. Not sure why,there was a note just saying closed until Wednesday. Which meant a trip back down the hill to Aosta for food.Not fun when you have just covered 400 miles from the Adriatic coast.However that is not Chez Megan’s fault. Just bear in mind you may have to travel for a meal.

Da Erika, un piccolo perfetto angolo di quiete

L'ambiente molto curato e arredato con gusto. Molto pulito. Buona posizione molto tranquilla. Erika, la proprietaria, molto disponibile, cordiale e pronta a dare consigli, se richiesti. Ottima colazione. Ottimo punto di appoggio per visitare poi la valle de gran San Bernardo e la confinante Valpelline

Fraicheur, bonne fatigue et repas surprenant.

Bel arrêt avant notre retour de vacances et la montée du col, c'était parfait malgré la fraicheur et la fatigue d'avoir roulé toutes ces heures.

Dommage d'arriver presque de nuit, et qu'il pleuvait. Si on avait eut un jour de plus, on aurait visité plus facilement. Sinon tout était parfait.

De mogelijkheid om te genieten van de spa. Goede hete sauna, fijn dat je een kopje thee kon zetten. Prachtige plek, luxe uitstraling en erg leuk dat er kunst was.

Bij de entree van de suite een droogmat en Kapstok (direct bij deur). Het regende en we konden nergens onze natte spullen (schoenen, jassen) neerleggen zonder het eerst de kamer in mee te hoeven nemen. Ik vond het storend dat er een foto van mijn paspoort werd genomen op een privé telefoon van het kantoor personeel.

Contrairement à ce qu’annonçait Booking, l’établissement ne faisait pas de repas. Il fallait reprendre la voiture pour aller au restaurant en dehors du village.

Hervorragendes Frühstück, Betten etwas schmal aber sehr bequem. Unterkunft ist hochwertig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sehr freundlicher Service, familiäre und authentische Atmosphäre. Ich würde wieder dort übernachten.

Ich persönlich mag zwar keine "Durchgangszimmer", trotzdem war es Abends ruhig. Das Fenster war etwas kein und obwohl die Straße sehr nah ist, war es Nachts angenehm still.

Absolut empfehlenswert, sehr schöne Unterkunft mit sehr bequemen Betten und eigenen Parkplatz gegenüber der Unterkunft. Eine sehr nette Hausherrin, die ein liebevolles Frühstück serviert. Die Zimmer haben einen Balkon und eine schöne Aussicht

Un borghetto d'altri tempi

Leggere nel balconcino nell'assoluto silenzio al netto del vociare dei bimbi che giocano nel borgo e lo scrosciare d'acqua della fontana è un paradiso. Mi è piaciuta l'accoglienza e la semplicità di Erika, la proprietaria, che ci hai indicato posti meravigliosi e con cui abbiamo chiacchierato di cosa significa vivere la montagna. Il bagno è molto ampio e la stanza curata e confortevole. Ci siamo sentiti a casa.

Se proprio devo trovare il pelo nell'uovo, il materasso era forse un pochino troppo morbido. Ma abbiamo dormito benissimo e sicuramente torneremo a soggiornare presso Chez Magan se passeremo in val d'Aosta.

Tolles Ambiente

Eine sehr nette Inhaberin. Das Zimmer - mit kleinem Balkon - und angrenzende Badezimmer sind riesig, sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und dekoriert. Das eher typisch italienische Frühstück sehr gut. In der Nähe eine Pizzeria (war leider geschlossen) ist fußläufig erreichbar. Ansonsten sind Lokale in der Umgebund nur mit Auto erreichbar. Privatparkplatz vorhanden.

Abbiamo soggiornato una sola notte in questa frazione di Gignod , comodissimo per raggiungere Aosta. Camera super accogliente con balcone con vista sulle montagne. Bagno davvero grande e pulitissimo. La colazione davvero abbondante sia dolce che salata. Davvero gentilissima la proprietaria che ci ha riempito di consigli per proseguire il nostro viaggio. Posteggio davvero comodo a meno di 1 Min a piedi dalla struttura.

Ottimo b&b poco sopra Aosta

Erika ha accolto la nostra famiglia di persona con un sorriso presso il suo "Chez Magan". È stata molto disponibile ad accomodare le nostre esigenze e ci ha dato ottimi consigli su cosa visitare nei dintorni. Davvero gentile con la nostra bimba di 6 anni. Ci ha anche indicato una latteria a soli 5 minuti dal b&b dove acquistare eccellenti formaggi locali. Buona la colazione con marmellate fatte in casa e ottimi formaggi e salumi tipici. Camere pulitissime e attrezzate di tutto il necessario. Consigliato!

Comoda posizione e gentilezza dell'Host!

Camera molto pulita e confortevole, host super gentile e disponibile! La colazione è stata la cosa migliore della vacanza e grazie ad Erika abbiamo avuto l'occasione di vedere in un paesino vicino le famose maschere valdostane di Carnevale! Fantastico. L'unico aspetto che valuterei è di prevedere dei materassi un pò più rigidi e doppi cuscini (uno più morbido e uno più duro per cliente). Ritorneremo!
