Wonderful host

If you were ever lucky enough to spend your childhood summers on the Adriatic with your parents - carefree, happy, and full of sunshine - this is the place that will bring those memories back. Maria embodies the warmth and kindness of those good old days, and being around her makes you want to carry a bit of that spirit with you in your own life. She is a truly wonderful host. The villa is perfectly located, just by the woods and close to the beaches, and our room was spotlessly clean. A stay here feels both timeless and refreshing.

This was a great find! Very clean room, comfortable bed, quiet street, the host is lovely, it's located near the beach and close to the city centre. You can even rent a bike nearby. Thank you for everything, teta Maria!

Friendly host and cozy apartment

Marija is super friendly and welcomed us in the best way possible. The place is little but super cozy and cool. Keep in mind: - You'll need to walk 15 minutes to reach the center of Rovinj. - Bring 20 kuna to pay for additional fees (you can pay with credit card too) - The bathroom is not in the same room you'll sleep in. It's private but on the opposite side of the corridor. It was not a problem for us but I guess it could be for some people. Many thanks again Marija for your kindness!

I really like the apartment, and would stay there again.

Spacious rooms, long private balcony. External shutters kept light & heat out. Aircon in living/dining room welcomed! Coffee maker & single espresso maker useful. Plenty crockery, cutlery & towels. Supermarket close, and excellent restaurant just at end of road. I used the parking, and Marija was very keen to make sure I was comfy - even with a water & beer in fridge! She also helped with a late checkout as my flight was late afternoon.

Nothing. But a dish drainer (maybe above sink), and a microwave would be useful.

Maria is very nice and very kind. Location is good, 10-15 minutes away to the center and to the national park. The 2 rooms apartment is very big and very clean.

Host with prejudice | Worst experience

It was the worst experience staying at Maria's place. I come from an Eastern country. At checking-in she assumed that I am a refugee, started to comment on people from East which was weird, showed signs of prejudice, racism and close mindedness. Next morning she knocked our room and said that there is a police man who wants to talk to us. 😐 I am a frequent traveller and this has never happened before, all my experiences with other hosts have been great. I think that she has called the police on me only because of my nationality. I am not 100% sure, but what are the chances that first a host comments on your nationality and the next day a police officer comes to check on you? The police officer told me that he came to check on me only because of my nationality. Even he seemed embarassed to have come. I see in the reviews here that I am the only colored guest and someone who comes from East. I feel sorry for her that she lives in such a closed world. As far as the room goes, everything was quite fine, but her behaviour and this experience ruined our first ever trip to Rovinj.

All the apartment was very clean and we had everything we needed. The location is in a quiet residential area, full of greenery, approximately 15 minutes walking distance from city center or beaches, 4 minutes from supermarket (KONZUM).

Cozy and clean accommodation with very nice hosts

We mostly appreciated our host's hospitality and cleanliness. A good restaurant was 2 min away from the apartment. We also liked a very compact kitchen. The apartment is located in the quite area cca 10-15 min walk from the city center as well as Zlatni Rt. We got bikes from the lady living in the street parallel to the street where the apartment is (ask Marija, she is always ready to help you). Bikes are ideal way of moving in the town, as you can reach everything fast. We were very happy with the accommodation generally.

Just minor things - we were missing a bigger mirror. The only mirror was in the bathroom. I also did not like the balcony that much as it was a close type of a balcony (basically only with a window, check the pictures). On the other had, my partner really liked it, so it is most probably a question of preference.

Super host, nice area, just between beaches and c

Silent area, close to a good restaurant/supermarket. Beautiful beaches are close with bike. Downtown in 15min walk. Host is very polite and friendly. Apartman is clean and well equipped. Parking is good.

Everything was nice/fine, it could be better it the private bathroom would open directly from the apartman but it could be locked with a key.

Not worth it

Location is good. The centre and the beach both are just a fifteen-minute walk away.

Overwhelming kindness does not make up for the lack of quality. You might say the host is a very nice person, for my liking she is a little too much. There is no balcony, the bathroom is really small and there is no point in having a television if you can access just two channels. I am sure you will find better options!

Perfekter Aufenthalt in toller Lage

Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich mit einem super bequemen Bett – wir haben hervorragend geschlafen! Die Lage ist ideal, ruhig und trotzdem nah am Zentrum. Maria ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin, sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Príjemné, nenáročné ubytko

Čisto, ticho, ľahko sme ubytovanie našli. Relatívne blízko k moru aj do centra, tak 15 min na jednu alebo druhú stranu 😊. Fajn klimatizácia a apartmán mal až tri balkóny - to sa mi moc páčilo. Blízko obchod aj reštaurácia. Úplne do pohody klasické chorvátske ubytko. (A kopa prikrývok a uterákov sme mali k dispozícii, fajn dotiahnuté taký detail.)

Trošku staršie zariadenie (postele ale nové!) tak to nemá až taký wau efekt... ale za tú cenu okay. Ešte by bolo fajn doplniť k moka kávovaru aj nejakú kávu a čaj do základnej výbavy a neni o čom. 👍

Rovigno sempre bella

Casa pulita, luminosa, con tutti confort, compreso il riscaldamento gestibile in piena autonomia. Letti comodi, posizione buona, si raaggiunge il centro di Rovigno a piedi in 15 minuti. Comodo il posto auto privato sotto casa.
