Hostal Ca'n Tiu

The hostel was very good value for money. Our room was clean and larger than we expected. We let ourselves into the hostel and checked out before 7:00 am the following day. We didn't see any staff when we were there. The town of Alaro is a great place to access Palma and the mountains. We enjoyed the town and the bars and restaurants.

FANTASTIC location, great decor, very peaceful and pleasant atmosphere! The staff is very friendly and were forgiving of our late checkout (I got the time wrong)

The shower did not get hot. Even after you plug in the water heater and wait for a while, the hot water only lasts a few minutes. Not cold, but not warm. Whatever cleaning product they use leaves the floors feeling kind of sticky/oily. Gross, but forgivable. We used our beach flipflops in the room.

Alaró is a great location to start cycling trips not only to Tramuntana Mountains. The accomodation is located in the heart of the town, next to the main square, making it an ideal starting point for town exploration. The room's windows faced the quiet inner part of the block, which blocked out the evening traffic from the square. The positive atmosphere of the picturesque, cozy little hotel really lifted my spirits after arriving from Palma. Overall, the room was quiet and we didn't hear any noise from other guests.

The bed was a little too soft, but that's probably a matter of personal preference. Since all rooms are located upstairs, it is not suitable for people with limited mobility.

Nice quiet village

Very simple accomodation. Window facing a ''patio'' With all the airconditioning units.....so not possible to have windows open. Noisy if crowded. Slamming doors.
