La Terrasse Des Oliviers

We liked the location of the riad as it was just off the main road which meant it was very quiet but only a 15-20 minute walk to the main square through the souks. There were good restaurants nearby although the meal we had at the riad on our first night was excellent. There was a small dipping pool and a rooftop terrace for relaxation. The room was equipped with a hairdryer, a fridge, a kettle and a coffee-pod machine. Large bottles of mineral water were available on request from the kitchen. The staff were all excellent and there was someone on duty 24/7. The riad had a traditional feel and we felt very safe at all times.

For us, all was good.

Lovely Riad that felt like a family home instead of a polished hotel. Staff and owner were available and helpful, the home cooked dinner was nice. Breakfast is the standard moroccan fare with pancakes and jams, but there was fresh fruit, cheese and eggs available on top of that, so that was an extra treat. We would certainly stay here again. The location is perfect between the quieter northern part of the medina and the Jardin Majorelle, so everything is reachable on foot.

Nothing, really, it is a very homey place to stay, lovingly decorated and cared for.

Very beautiful and atmospheric riad. Room was very spacious and clean. Decorated very authentically, with beautiful furniture and wall decorations. The location was good, very close to the Medina and the right side of town for the Jardins Majorelles. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The rooms are not sound proofed. In the morning and evening people were seated immediately outside our room for breakfast and dinner which was clearly audible inside, even when they were speaking at a normal or low volume with the windows closed, so it can be difficult if you want an early night or a lie in!

The Riad is simply beautiful. We stayed for a weekend as a family of 11. It’s an oasis of calm and tranquility. We booked 4 rooms and all were beautiful decorated, comfortable and clean. We received a very warm welcome and the staff were so helpful, even little Mimi. The location really is perfect. Just a short walk to the souk but located in an area with good restaurants and accessible by taxi. None of us wanted to leave, and all said we’d definitely stay there again if we visit Marrakesh again in the future.
